Darnok Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Wilbur Epper II. had been granted command of the HMS Hermes, on which he had now finally left King's Harbour. Nicknamed "Hornet" due to its striking colour scheme, the ship darted across the waves, bringing Epper closer to his first mission for the Royal Society of Navigation and Discovery. A fine ship indeed, the HMS Hermes was well armed for its size, and manned by a crew of able seamen and experienced marines of the Crown. Under a clear sky and with a steady wind in its sails, the "Hornet" was heading towards new adventures. ======================================================================== A class 3 ship, which will be Eppers personal vessel from now on. This MOC is using the main hull and the mast/sails from the old Imperial Flagship. Some other parts were also reused - I kept the steering wheel play feature for example - but it is a unique build and about 80% my work. The idea was to cross the IF with visual elements from the Black Seas Barracuda - I am quite pleased with the result. Quote
Ayrlego Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 A great expansion of the IF, her origins are still recognisable and the link to the BSB is visible as well. A nice blend of the features of the two vessels to create something unique. Best of luck on the voyage out and I look forward to sailing with her this next turn! Quote
LM71Blackbird Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 I lovely little ship Drunknok! I quite like the color scheme and it looks like a fine vessel indeed! Quote
Mesabi Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Excellent little ship @Drunknok, and a great cross between the two ships. You're improving well on your shipbuilding, and I can't wait to see your future ships. Quote
Roadmonkeytj Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 A good restructure to a fine old ship... Like that you kept the possibility Quote
