Dockside Roper

On a bustling section of the Quinnsville pier is the shop of one of the local ropers.

The two men that run the shop are never in need of customers.

As fast as one can make the rope,

someone comes in and buys it all!

I guess that's what you get when you make some of the finest quality rope on all of Cocovia!

This will be a medium Artisan for Quinnsville. Only a few more builds before Quinnsville will reach Large City Status! As always, C&C are welcome and apprecieated and thanks for looking!

Nice work with this rope maker Blackbird, it reminds me of one posted in the first year of BoBS by Captain Braunsfeld I think. I really like how the ropemaking process is displayed and the bustling activity around on the outside of the building. I like the texture for you have used for the exterior walls and the colour choices work well here as well. I believe you are working with limited pieces, however if possible I'd recommend some more texture on the stone embankment leading down to the wharfs.

All up a nice property for Quinnsville, good job!

Nice build! I like the hinged tiles for the window awnings, and the fence+arch design of the windows. Good work with limited pieces.  I also like the way you have the roof open to display the interior (and interiors are always a plus!). Period-appropriate as well.

Very nice rope-works. (And here I was expecting something in LDD!) Both the exterior and interior look really nice and the rope-twisting equipment is cool. Overall good work.

I keep wanting to build a full-length ropewalk, but the dimensions are just impossible for photography. Maybe a cross-section at minifig scale and a full-length microbuild would work better.

Not sure about @Captain Braunsfeld but kabel definitely built one in Nova Terreli early on.

You are correct! Kabel's ropemaker in Nova Terreli was the one I was thinking of...

Thank you! I've had this idea for a little bit but didn't really have a vision for it. Then I just started building! Yeah, I wanted to add more details, but those big 6x8 slopes were something I could cover a lot of area with. I'm wanting to get some more pieces and parts, but as you probably know, that requires some extra spending money!

Thank you very much! The hinged tile awnings were actually a last minute addition to add some more detailing, so I'm glad you like them!

Lol! Thanks! I thought about using LDD but couldn't figure out how to make the rope twisting machine without using real bricks.

The pier and the buiding both look good, but the best part is the rope making process, and I like the windows too.

It wasn't me. I get impatient with those little rope thingies and knots and stuff.

I tend to stick to standard elements :pir-grin:

Well done om both the rope making as the building and the scene. The minifig for the wanted poster is a nice touch.
