In addition to m other issues with the hair,     it would have been nice if Arthur and Molly had plain orange hair, as their hair is much lighter than the rest of the family in the films due to their age.

it's also a very pleasant shade.  =]

Isn’t this the same color as 2002 Mary Jane’s hair? If so, her hair will do the trick I guess. I’m going to try it right now haha.

Also, batgirl’s pink skirt from the CMF will probably work for Lavender.

I honestly think almost the whole figure is bad. The hair in the set and even the piece used here just does not work very well (though this is an improvement). The dress being unprinted isn't great either and I think the face is pretty off too. If the dress and face were better the hair would be much more forgivable and vice versa. 
 

I really think they should've cut out another figure or two and used the budget for Molly. Ideally they would cut the death eaters but that would remove the conflict of the set so that can't happen. I guess Tonks would be the best figure to drop since she isn't essential to the burrow and I don't think people are too attached to that version of her costume (I'm sure we'll get the OOTP one later this year).

yeah I'd like to see someone try that before ordering a piece.  the colro sure is right, and it would help that figure out a bit. but im unsure about the volume of it

I‘ve just realised that a second face print from the DC CMF series has been repurposed, this time in the Jurassic World theme. This opens the gate for more CMF prints to become non-exclusive...

What this means for HP is that they could‘ve used Bellatrix‘ new face in the Burrow if the CMF series had come out earlier. Now I really wish the HP CMF and S20 would’ve swapped places

Its likely about production capacity. if the Bellatrix face was going to stay in production for the length of a set, that would take up the spot of something else.  

Otherwise they could have just started production on that face earlier for the set   to later use in the cmf.

 

i do wonder if this increasing cross contamination between sets and cmf means  the cmf isnt all exclsuively produced in china anymore. (at least that seemed to be the case before)

 

I hope we don't get that cmf/jurassic  face for Lucius.

Yeah, but among the existing pieces I think it’s the most accurate one. I used to think poopy’s skirt would be a neat option, but it’s incredibly short on regular legs. Tutu definitely not, and the cloth is too long and tight. I think batgirl’s skirt captures the 90’s feel to it, anyway.

They do. Burrow!Bellatrix reuses Mantis' face print while CMF!Bellatrix has an entirely new one, complete with eye-shadow and evil smirk (and hopefully an alternative face with a deranged expression)

I think there are budgetary reasons behind it. The CMF series always have their own, independent budget, so it makes sense to introduce new moulds and prints there rather than the main theme

but the budget still stand even if they start producing it some months ealier.

its not about whats introduced its about how long to keep pieces in production.

so you can't just introduce soemthing and keep it around for 2 years normally. then it is no longer part of the cmf budget.     

coveres the RND though.

I expect either in CMF2 or as an exclusive figure with a book. 
That hidden side character also has a mould for a hat with moulded hair, which would be perfect for a hogsmeade village Hermione

Very interesting with the new clue, looking at my personal list I come up with the following guesses:

1- Firenze the Centaur

2- Lucius Malfoy, Madam Pomfrey, Hermione (Herbology) 

4- Rita Skeeter

5- Tonks (pink hair)

6- Ron (quidditch)

I think my list meets all the hint criteria we have so far? (Houses, movies, descriptions of new parts), correct me if I’m wrong

That looks so much better, completely changes the figure! 
I hope Lego is paying attention to the feedback and makes that recolour of that hair available in a city set, store BAM towers or somewhere else so we have a chance of doing a swap. 
I’ll then use the old wig for Ron in the clock tower, to make him look even more embarrassing ?

I don’t think so either but I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. There have been large molded pieces in CMFs before like the dolphin and the bicycle

I think the Malfoy face print and hair color from the astronomy tower could be better so I'll be using this face print for the new Malfoy (obviously for the print on the left). It fits as a better evolution to the great hall head print which has brown eyebrows and is more movie accurate. Imo black eyebrows and blond hair doesnt work too well.

They're not up for preorder from LEGO in Australia, but they're also coming on the 1st of June, so only a month to wait (sorry to trigger all of the US people again  - don't worry, plenty of the world pays a lot more and has to wait for other things).

Some individuals retailers might have pre-orders going, but none of the major ones from what I could see.

You’re forgetting kingnono’s hints about us getting both sides of polyjuice and ‘the gang’s all here’ - suggesting that we’re getting Harry and Ron polyjuiced as Crabbe and Goyle (and presumably the matching Cat Hermione as well)

You’re right, I got the exact wording wrong. Given that kingnono later clarified that ‘gang is meant to be gang’ (notably in the same post that talked about us getting both sides of polyjuice potion) I think Crabbe and Goyle were still implied, since Malfoy’s little group is the only one commonly referred to as a ‘gang’ (unless we get some of Dudley’s friends, but that seems unlikely to the extreme).

Was the polyjuice hint really meant for the CMF? I have the feeling it refers to DA because there has also been the "I wish to enter my vault" hint which is from another polyjuice scene in DH2.

Visuals for the Hidden Side castle are out. Turns out that just like in the box art only the telescope tower is tan and the rest is black and grey. So there goes any hope of it being useful for extra Hogwarts parts.
