With Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Star Wars and Marvel things are ramping up fast so this Eternals delay is perfect

Couldn't agree more. I was worried about budgeting my lego purchases this year...

I just buy small sets (mostly), but there are a lot of cool small sets this year, and you know, when you multiple 20€ by 10 it's 200€.

Especially when that 501st pack gets to toilet-paper levels of scarcity and we can only find it for $500 on ebay . In all seriousness I agree about the smaller sets being great this year, there's some from themes I never buy from (like DC's wonder woman set), that I'm planning on getting.  The marvel sets seem great this year too, like the black widow set and hulkbuster (though at $40 it's not exactly a small set), but the real good ones are looking to be the helicarrier and avengers tower, which unfortunately are both pretty expensive.

Didn’t get Black Widow set at its release. I always like getting my movie sets after the movie to see if it’s a must buy or not. Glad to see that the Black Widow set will still be in shelves when movie releases. Like the idea of 2020 not being too crazy so I can save up money for Eternals.

At least for marvel. Honestly even though it's seemingly going to be a great wave I might just end up buying the hulkbuster and bricklinking war machine.

What I don't like about this wave is that there are no small sets. 120€ Helicarrier and 90€ Avengers Tower (I would love to get those but there's no way I can spend that much money on a set, I just bought a 200€ on a D2C which heavily loaded my budget for this year), 4+ Avengers Tower (no way I am getting a 4+ set, the build won't be definitely something that I like) and a 40€ Hulbuster (this one is not expensive, but the minfigures aren't really interesting... Iron Man and 2 agents).

I think it's good we are finally getting some sets that are more expensive.  I think it's needed given how big Marvel is. I do know what you mean about affording it though, I've just bought the Taj Mahal and that's  set me back quite a bit.

Especially with Covid-19 heavily affecting my LEGO budget I'm gonna have to make some sacrifices so I probably won't pick up the new Marvel sets untill sometime next year. Though for the Avengers waves so far I'm really looking forward to the Helicarrier and (normal) Avengers Tower, I never buy 4+/Juniors because I really dislike it and the Hulkbuster is just yet another Hulkbuster. Usually the only thing I buy from Marvel are the MCU sets so I save a lot of money on the comic sets but as a fair amount of these gamesets go alongside the MCU sets fairly well I'll probably pick them up.

I mean I love the fact that we are getting some expensive Marvel sets, even tho they are not affordable for me. What I mean is that we are getting 5 superheroes in a 120€ set, 4 in a 60€ 4+ set and 2-4 in a 90€ set, but in a 40€ we're just getting one. If Hulbuster, and affordable set, would include at least 2 superheroes (doesn't matter which ones), I would buy it immediately. But it only includes another Iron Man/Rescue, therefore I am not interested.

Yeah, I also focus on small sets, which are lacking is this wave. But there's a possibility that the Hulkbuster comes with both Iron man and Rescue, plus two agents. So, 2 heroes.

Also  (very wishful thinking), I hope the Hulkbuster is actually in a different colour scheme, like black and gold, for differentiation of the previous ones.

I just saw a comparison of the Loki fig with his design in the first Thor movie. I guess we can say this is a MCU based fig, after all.

If Hulkbuster's design is fresh (a new colour scheme would definitely help) and includes 2 superheroes, I will definitely buy it. Most 40€ Marvel sets have 4 minfigures, so I hope that's the case.

Any word on the interior of the Helicarrier and Avengers Tower?

Nope, we only know the AT may or may not include a ''hall of armor'' of sorts (posted by falconfan as part of his aprilfools guessing game)

Ahh okay, thanks!  Hopefully the Helicarrier will be able to open like the £120+ Star Wars sets.

I have a nasty feeling that the Helicarrier will be VERY similar to the Flying Fox from Justice League and have a huge hole in it for a Mini-Quinjet.

This reminds me of the first Thanos, where some believe that it’s a comic version others believe that it’s based on GOTG. Heck, Lego themselves even used that first Thanos as a placeholder for GOTG movie Thanos in games and shorts. I guess that’s the magic of LEGO minifigs as their inspirations are often ambiguous...

Honestly, wouldn’t be the worst idea out there. Depends on how they execute it. I would heavily prefer actual interior though

With that piece count I hope they execute it well, it's got some big potential.

I agree, though the included quinjet has big potential of being a waste of pieces

I’m honestly so excited for this helicarrier and the brickbuilt MODOK. I wanna see the set pictures soon

I'm pretty sure it comes with Iron man, rescue, and 2 agents. The inclusion of rescue is what sells it for me, I never bought the helicopter set.

No one is sure for now. Toy Fair descriptions phrased it like "Iron Man (Rescue) and 2 agents", so it could mean both things. I guess we just have to wait, no leaker can confirm it yet I think.

Do you think June and August Avengers sete are gonna have box arts like WW84 set? Or do you think it's a one-time thing?

I hope it's a one-time thing

I think they could pull it off really well with that comicbook cover vibe, especially with Avengers sets.

Speaking of the WW84 set, I noticed it’s really detailed for a one set series. I really hope LEGO keeps up the details for the Summer Avengers sets!
