Building designed to fit in with the Anniversary Green-Roofed Hogwarts sets. Philosopher's Stone version would have Hagrid, the Trio and the Draco from Diagon Alley. Chamber of Secrets version would have Aragog. NO Fang Snape's Potion Classroom designed to fit with the Anniversary Hogwarts sets. A Quidditch Lesson with Harry, Neville, Draco, Hooch and a bit of castle to reenact the Remembrall scene Giant Hogwarts Express set with Hogsmede station to fit in with the other Hogsmede set. Has the exact same characters as the 2018 but with the trio having mid-legs and no Trolley Witch. Either a buildable Norbert, Fawkes or Nagini to fit with the buildable Hedwig. I would just like to say I wouldn't mind a Philosopher's Stone Forbidden Forest set, especially if it came cloaked Voldemort, Firenze or a Unicorn but I'm imagining the worst case scenario which in this case is a Hagrid's Hut with only a couple of new variants and no new characters Oooo...Trying to come up with the worst, but also barely realistic, list could be a fun experiment! Here is mo not so serious attempt to create a list that could be plausible, not likely to ever be made, and definitely a disappointment to most. My attempt was to see what sets I personally would never buy. While I would be disappointed not to get a Gringotts this year, I would enjoy getting a motorized Hogwarts Express with Hogsmeade Station for 250 since I don't own a motorized train and msised the original one way back when or a Forest of Dean set (I REALLY want a Dumbledore Biography printed book piece). 250 - USC Doloras Umbridge - in the same vein as the 10018 Darth Maul torso from 2001 120 - Great Hall remake - NOT compatible with either the 2018 modular OR the anniversary one. They invent a NEW one in 2021, unofficially retiring the last few years of sets. 60 - Follow the Spiders - Remake of 2018 Aragog Set but includes more small spiders and a BRAND new Ford Anglia 40 - Buildable Blast-Ended Skrewt OR Buildable Sorting Hat (Not going to lie: I would probably buy the sorting hat ) 30 - Dobby's Free - Includes the same Lucias Malfoy as in DA, Dobby, and Harry Potter, but with new sock print. doclord Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Watching Harry Potter 1 right now, and there’s a woman sitting with Dumbledore in the first quidditch game that has the exact red hair/black hair combination that was on the leaked “combo figure”. Maybe we’re getting another quidditch set? Maybe that’s the big set?
JintaiZ Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 The wave seems very good overall. I'm interested in: Hogwarts Castle - I have been wanting an affordable version of the complete Hogwarts Castle for a while. Hogsmeade - Another dream come true! 851 pieces seems to be the perfect size for a set like this. 76391 Unknown - Large Harry Potter sets are always impressive so I'm looking forward to how it turns out regardless of what it is!
Legoman123 Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 So what sets are confirmed and what aren’t? And how many sets are we expecting?

MaxHeadroom Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 For the time being at least I'm going to assume sets 76392 (59.99) and 76393 (119.99) are standard minifigure scale sets like the small 2019 wave. As for the other three sets... $249.99- Half of Diagon Alley- A rerelease of half of the existing Diagon Alley set, but oh no! It's the half with QQS! $39.99- Ford Anglia battle pack- 3 Ford Anglias all different from the existing ones and slightly different from each other (saying which one is best would give us plenty to argue about). $29.99- A Little Great Hall: As a Treat- So far 2021 has been the first year without a product based completely around the Great Hall (The Great Hall-2018, Advent-calendar-2019, polybag-2020) that changes here. This set includes 2.5 tables and a few small great hall themed accessories that will go perfectly with your existing Great Halls/collection of other small unused great hall related builds. Whatever we get I just hope it isn't minifigure scale (or Dobby's Sock related) so I don't feel tempted to buy any of it. My more realistic predictions would be a large buildable Ford Anglia and Niffler.

"Lowering expectations" could mean many things. For instance, if we still got a Gringotts D2C but no regular DH and just remakes then this would be disappointing for many who were looking forward to a DH wave. Having said that, I can see us getting a couple of remakes based on previous posts: - PS/CoS Hagrid's Hut with Norbert, Fang, golden Dumbledore. This seems really quite likely to me and would still have some appeal to owners of the PoA Hagrid's Hut. - PoA Quidditch is another one that would sell well and complete the stadium if you like with the second set of goal hoops. But the thing I'm most expecting from the "lower expectations" advice is non-minifig scale sets. Perhaps could see: - Buildable/mechanical creature similar to Hedwig, could be Buckbeak, Crookshanks chasing scabbers, Dobby - Buildable object in human scale, could be the elder wand, slytherin's locket, golden snitch, philosopher's stone. I am certain that we will get DH sets at some point. Lego has been so thorough with this theme and they're obviously aware of the missing scenes/figs and our desire for them. So I'm just trying not to rule anything out, it's obvious to me that a Gringotts is in the pipeline for some point and so are DH sets. Some of the non-standard sets (Hedwig, Hogwarts moments books) have been pleasant surprises anyway. Thanks to @Guyon2002 and @Falconfan1414 for giving us a heads up that this is going to be an unpredictable wave! Wow, you gave me an idea, it would be nice for Quidditch, then there would be Ron and Ginny on the Quidditch team. I really believe in the new Quidditch lego because of that Cedric in Quidditch outfit that comes in the magazine. I may be wrong but I don't remember seeing exclusive minifigures in these magazines, in books I've seen like Tom Riddle, but never in a magazine. Edited February 12, 2021 by ZeLuiz08

Which characters are left that you all feel we are still desperately lacking? Rita and Narcissa are the only two I constantly have coming to mind. I know there's other background characters, and I know we have discussed this after the last wave. But I feel potential Crabbe, Goyle, Cat Hermione, Professor Sinestra, Colin Creevy and Justin Finch Fletchley are filling some nice holes. I've decided i'm still going to remain excited about the second wave as none of the sets we are getting come close to my initial thoughts/expectations, but I now that I've seen what we are getting I am still super excited about them. Deathly Hallows would be nice. But we are getting some awesome gaps filled in our collections Besides personally other than Gringotts there's not too much from Deathly Hallows I feel is a must have for me. Also, don't really know why, but the Gold Figures are kind of exciting to me too. I did a search of ALL the minifigures that have been released since 2001 and the only characters that haven't been made recently by lego or have been confirmed are Narcissa Malfoy, Neville in the Deathly Hallows outfit, Remus Lupin Wolf, Igor Karkaroff, Death Eater of Order of Phoenix, Troll and Merman. Characters that should be made now in addition to the ones I mentioned, Kreacher, Mundungus, Aberforth Dumbledore, Madam Pomfrey, Percy, Bill, Helena Revenclaw, Bloody Baron, Fat Friar, Tonks with pink hair, Sirius with normal clothes, I think only. NOTE: In 2001 Lego made Peeves, do you believe it could do it now? Roebuck Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Why must COS be under the great hall in the first place? Was it not way under the castle in the first place, so instead of trying to make COS fit under the GH and other similar sets under the rest of the sets to make a basement section, would it not be easier to do what they did the first time and make a basement with some small towers on the top and just connect them to the other sets and call it a day?
girlie-site-boots Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 No reason for CoS to be under the Great Hall, technically it should be the Elves kitchens are under the GH as that's what it said in one of the books. Hence the food magically appears above. But I think from a Lego POV it's a good place to put CoS just to make it work.

Agreed. It makes no sense location-wise, but I’m sure the CoS was combined with the GH to give it more widespread appeal. Without that, it would probably look a bit barren (which is why the 2002 version added some small towers for visual flavour). Plus, as has been brought up before, the 2018 GH was originally supposed to have reached EOL status by now. Personally, I like that combination because the minifig selection definitely benefits from it Edited February 12, 2021 by Lego-Freak
Hellawaits Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 I am lowering my expectations: 250 - UCS Quick-Quotes Quill, with a GOLDEN Rita Skeeter + an exclusive minifig of Harry baffled by his interview 120 - Afterlife's Kings Cross Station, composed of only white bricks, no train, Baby voldemort (same as graveyard duel), Albus (same as CMF series 1) and an exclusive minifig of Harry baffled by the uncertainty of his own death. 60 - A small Lego Art of Fudge's bowler Hat including an exclusive minifig of Harry baffled by Fudge's cowardice. 40 - Remake of the Grindelwald escape, including an exclusive minifig of Harry baffled by his inclusion in this set. 30 - Another Book about Lego Harry Potter, this time with the same "exclusive" minifig of harry that is also released in the four other sets mentioned above.

Harry Potter is popular with kids from a young age and although most of the sets thus far have been aimed at older children maybe with junior-ised sets Lego think they can appeal to a wider child audience. - 4+ Hogwarts Castle for £70 with giant printed castle elements - 4+ Hagrids Hut with only two walls - 4+ either Hogwarts Express or Ford Anglia

Seaber Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 (edited) I don't want to be too positive on this thread at the moment () but a 4+ line for Harry Potter is something I don't believe would necessarily be a disaster. The Moments sets aren't a million miles away. Look at this Batman 4+ set. Four nicely detailed minifigures, three of them unique (or near enough) to the set, eight printed pieces and loads of accessories. The RRP for the above was £34.99, compared to the Moments sets which are £27.99 with only three figures, admittedly with a few more small parts. Stickers galore. I have a feeling Super Heroes sets may be slightly more expensive than HP ones too. There is no sign of the 4+ brand joining the HP license yet, but picture the above with, say, Neville, Malfoy, Harry and Hooch with a bit of the castle and plenty of brooms and the remembrall and a bit of interior decoration, or the trio and Ginny in Gryffindor Tower with a printed Fat Lady portrait. I don't think those would be so bad. Just to add some negativity to the thread: 76391 - $249.99 UCS Dancing Harry and Hermione. Includes Harry's weird smile. No further Deathly Hallows sets.
