I am severely hoping Lego releases some good imperial hardware in the near future. The Clones need to be taught a lesson. Through ABS!
 

Imperial ground forces are currently a joke. Sure they have a decent amount of air support and a relatively fair amount of infantry, but there are currently no imperial ground vehicles on shelves. And come to think of it, there are no substantial troop transports for the empire rn.

For ground forces I propose either A) ITT or B) AT ST

For troop transports/ assault landers I suggest either A) Tie Reaper or B) Imperial patrol Gunship (preferably based off JFO/JS)

My comprehensive wishlist for Lego Star wars (each category is in order).  Everything is OT (in movie - although the dragon is just bones).  These are just things Lego has never done, There are some definite remakes that would fit in the top of some of these lists.

Honestly I think an ITT and AT-ST should be different enough in size/price that at this point they probably wouldn't take each other's spots, so to speak. The AT-ST's we've been getting since 2016 have been drastically oversized.

So there's two things I really want right now from this theme. One is a proper Genesis arena/stadium, or at least a facade for the balcony Count Dooku stood on, a buildable crab monster, potentially at a UCS scale. or at least. a $150 play set. The second thing is a Shack Ti figure in modern printing, an update from her Clone Wars figure from over a decade ago. Then I remember Shaak Ti was in that Attack of the Clones scene. Well, she showed up a bit after this. So anyways here's nothing;

Genesis Arena Battle - $180 - Symmetrical bleachers on either side of the main balcony, each with an opening gate underneath. Main balcony has the most structure and substance. Comes with at least 1 monster, namely the crab beast. 3 if you count the 2 alien horses 9?) the Geonosian guards ride. Figures include - Count Dooku, Nute Gurney, Rune Haako, Anakin, Padme, Geonosian guard x2, and ideally 3-4 Geonosians for the bleachers. 

Geneonosis battle pack - $20 - comes with 4 different Geonosians, ideal for adding to the bleachers of the battle arena. 1-2 droidekas.

Geonosis Beast pack - $60 - If the Arena came with the crab beast and the beasts the guards ride on, this should come with the large mouthed, white Cheshire Cat looking creature, and the tri-horned beast with red face. Figures include - Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin, another guard, Poggle the Lesser, Jango Fett, Boba Fett

Republic Gunship - $150 - Updated ship with new figures to mach this wave - 1 super battle droid, 2 regular droid, 2 clone troopers, Yoda, Shaak Ti, Tarados Gon, Obi Wan Kenobi, "burned" C3PO variant

Hailfire Droid - $40 - x2 battle droids, super battle droid, Mace Windu, Bultar Swan

I know I’m probably beating a dead horse at this point with the imperial sets… but I’ve recently been playing Jedi Survivor and want sets so badly. And empire seems to be the best bet of circumventing Lego’s stupid no direct tie-in play-sets policy. So here are two sets that’ll make me a very happy Tanalorian. (TANALORR IS MINE!!!)

Imperial Forces Battlepack (£19.99): Scout Trooper, Scout Trooper Commander, Stormtrooper Commander and, a Imperial Jump-trooper. The commander minifigs would use a new pauldron piece made out of the new rubber cape material. Builds are: an imperial checkpoint, E-WEB turret and a DT sentry droid. (Spare pistols for scouts also included)

Imperial Patrol Gunship (£59.99): Purge Trooper, Jump Trooper, Jump Trooper Commander, Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper and Ahsoka Tano (Rebels) The Jump Trooper Commander is distinguished by a white and Orange dual moulded left arm with imperial cog arm printing on orange shoulder,

I’d buy 2 gunships and 4 BPs in a heartbeat. Lego! Make these sets and my bank account is yours!!!

I think it’s only a matter of time before we see a Jedi Temple now, especially if we are getting a $1000 Death Star, I think now it makes sense. 
 

Im also hoping that after all these years Lego finally decide to make a Naboo Royal Starship with a full interior, it’s so iconic and has a lot of screen time for one movie. On the topic of TPM a Theed Palace would be exellent as well.  
 

My third/fourth set I’ve always wanted Lego to do was a Jango Fett’s Slave 1 and now we are finally getting it in UCS style.

On a side note I’d love if Lego could do location based sets in a similar way to the way the LOTR Icons sets are created.

Totally agree. UCS/MBS Petranaki (I've been spelling it Pentaki for years now I think, whoops) arena is the way to go. Also like the wave in general, I do miss the era of waves based on specific battles.

 

 

With the discussion in the other thread I thought it'd be interesting to map out how I'd want a year of star wars sets to go, so here it is. I'll stick with the general number of sets we normally get in a year (I'm seeing about 30 plus a polybag and 2 UCS), but change a lot of the ratios and release dates. I'll put the general concept first, then in italics hypothetically what I'd want for 2026. I did ignore the Mando Movie because I didn't want to fill a whole wave with "Mandalorian movie set"

January wave: I've always loved the big January waves starting the year off with a bevy of sets.

Polybag ($4.99): Mini version of a popular ship. Been awhile since the last falcon, we'll pick that.

Mini-Scene ($9.99): Like the 2023/24 marvel sets. For example, this could be a Starkiller Base duel set with Kylo Ren and Rey, with the build being a small snowy aera with a tree drop play feature.

Microfighter ($12.99): We'll say Anakin's ETA-2 starfighter for this one. Can't believe it hasn't been a thing yet

Battle Pack 1: ($19.99): Let's say a Stormtrooper/Death Trooper battle pack, make the build a turbolaser turret.

4+ ($20-50): Something for the kids with some major characters. We'll do a Republic Gunship ($40) with a Clone Pilot, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, and Captain Rex.

System S1: ($29.99): Speeder Bikes: 2 speeder bikes and some trees with Endor Luke, a Scout Trooper, Princess Leia, and Wicket.

System S2: ($35-50): Defense of Hoth ($37.99): Hoth trench with a DF.9, a Tauntaun, and an E-web. Comes with a probe droid, Han Solo (Hoth), a Hoth Rebel Trooper, and two Snowtroopers.

System S3: ($35-50): Wheel Bike Chase ($44.99): Wheel bike and buildable Boga with Commander Cody, Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, and an Airborne trooper.

System M1: ($50-80): B-wing ($69.99):  B-wing starfighter with a B-wing Pilot, General Lando, Admiral Ackbar, and  Mon Mothma

A-level: ($ANY): Something I think lego should adopt from hasbro- a product with intentionally larger stock numbers and longer shelf life, we'll say 5 years for lego, a way to keep major characters and vehicles on shelves without remaking everything as often. We'll say it should start with an X-wing ($54.99): Comes with Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and  Stormtrooper.

May wave: I think with may the fourth this is the perfect time to capitalize on adults who wouldn't normally be thinking as much about star wars.

Helmet 1 ($60-80): Royal Guard? Please?

Helmet 2 ($60-80): Build-a-clone, a base P2 helmet with extra parts for different legion markings.

Diorama 1 ($60-100): Battle of Mustafar with Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker

Diorama 2 ($60-100): Executor Bridge with Vader, Piett, Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss.

Midi-scale 1 ($50-100): Venator Star Destroyer ($79.99): We're putting a minifig on each of these, this one comes with Yularen.

Midi-Scale 2 ($50-100): Slave One ($69.99): Boba Fett

UCS1 ($239.99): Something relatively small like a starfighter or AT-ST. For 2026 I'll guess Anakin's ETA-2 Starfighter with Anakin Skywalker (arm printing for robot hand) and R2-D2 (new torso design allowing head swivel)

GWP 1 would just be the $5 poly from earlier in the year

GWP 2 (not a set): I don't hate the little non-lego things if they're well made, let's say for 2026 it's a mini replica of the death star plans.

GWP 3 (set): mini-diorama with an exclusive figure. We'll say a small Star Forge interior diorama with a new Jedi Knight Revan.

September Wave: Moving from august to space the waves out a bit more.

Battle Pack 2: ($19.99): Let's say Clone Wolfpack with an accurately sized AT-RT

System S4: ($30-50):  One more smaller set for the year. Wouldn't hate the return of the AV-7 Cannon ($39.99) with Commander Wolffe, Plo Koon, Count Dooku, and 2x b1 battle droids.

System M2: ($50-80): Poe Dameron's Black One X-wing ($54.99) would be nice. Comes with Poe Dameron, BB-8, Finn, and a First Order Stormtrooper.

System M3: ($50-80): Ahsoka Season 2

System L1: ($80-120): Imperial Lander ($99.99) from the mandalorian S2. Comes with a mortar trooper, 3x Stormtrooper, Mando, Grogu, Boba Fett, and Fennec Shand.

System L2: ($80-120): TIE Advanced vs Y-wing ($109.99): With Dutch Vander, a rebel astromech, Darth Vader, a TIE Pilot, and Grand Moff Tarkin.

ADVENT 1 ($39.99): Need to lower that price back a tiny bit. It goes on enough sales I think it'd be worth it. I'm not going to determine what'd be in every day of it but I'll just say the exclusive prints are taken and put onto a Santa Mando figure's torso and a Reindeer Grogu figure's body piece.

Thank you! I'd actually been writing that off and on for a few days while waiting for pots to boil/food to heat up/etc. I've been thinking for awhile that we need to shift the current setup lego has for releasing sets.

 

Some more A-level set ideas. There is some overlap, these wouldn't all be out at the same time period, they're just some different concepts.

Anakin's Starfighter vs Vulture Droid ($54.99): ETA-2 and Vulture Droid with Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, Ahsoka Tano, Count Dooku, and General Grievous.

Yeah, I think it would fit a LOT of the issues people have with the theme, and it seems like an easy win.

 

The cheaper sets thing brought up in the discussion thread reminded me of how much I want little $10 sets like Marvel got, so here's one for almost every onscreen project (Obviously not more than 1-2 would release per wave)

The Phantom menace: Desert Duel ($9.99): Maul's Bloodfin and a moisture vaporator. Comes with Qui-Gon and Maul. There is a function to knock over the vaporator.

Attack of the Clones: Geonosis Duel ($9.99): Dooku's speeder and a pillar with collapsing feature with Count Dooku and Yoda

The Clone Wars: Duel on Mandalore ($9.99): Mandalore throne with Ahsoka Tano and Maul. 

Revenge of the Sith: Mustafar Duel ($9.99): The droid anakin's on top of and a small high ground build with Anakin and Obi-Wan.

The Bad Batch: bounty hunter shootout ($9.99): Small landing platform build with Cad Bane, Hunter, and functions to knock them over.

Oh boy, just in the other thread there was the discussion that the advent calendars would not make sense to include new molds.
But! Here's a crazy idea: please Lego, do a novel figure of Padme with a new mold for her hair or hat and reuse that mold in Ninjago, where it would probably fit just as well as any of the dozen new molds Ninjago is going to get anyway... Mold-wise it would not cost a penny more, and the Ninjago kids would not even guess, even less care, that the mold is a reuse from Star Wars, but the novel mold and the Padme figure itself in the advent calendar would make virtually every Star Wars fan happy and particularly the prequel fans, me included, would surely buy the calendar for 50+ euros and dollars, even both at the same time and even if it was nothing else but that one Padme figure + 23 brick separators.

Love these ideas. Feel like the whole Genesis battle has so many builds, characters and moments not yet depicted by Lego, I would love for them to revisit Episode 2 sometime soon. I have this theory that Lego designers may lurk these threads, and so our wishlists can be a manifestation of sorts should we inspire them to create something they read. Maybe that's giving myself too much credit but it'd be really cool to look back on this thread in a few years with an actual Petranaki Arena in my hands.

Some great suggestions here. I'd like to see Rebels and Bad Batch get more love. You could also add: 

Revenge of the Sith: Senate Battle. Have Yoda and Palpatine and a senate pod.

Rogue One: Scariff Battle: Part of the walkway on the Scariff Imperial Tower. Includes Jyn and Krennic. 

I was looking at some of the Harry Potter stuff and I think sets like the Flying Ford Anglia (12.99), the Duel Club (19.99) and the Charms classroom (17.99) are exactly the kind of things we need to be seeing in the Star Wars line.

Yeah it's been 12 years since we've had a good episode 2 wave. We've been getting the odd set here and there but not much. I'd also love to see the Zam Wessell speeder Chase at some point as well.
