Matn Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 I recently have restarted my project to make Harry Potter figures. These figures won't be made with non-LEGO, I will only use official bricks. Maybe I will make also vignettes with them... More figures to come! This is a picture of the gang how they appear in the seventh book: Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows. Hermoine with her backpack where anything fits in (a sidebag looks way nicer), Harry and Ron. Quote
iamded Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Very cool, Matn! Good to see you aren't mixing yellow with flesh. Lookin' forward to seeing what comes next. ~Peace Quote
badboytje88 Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Those figs look really nice, I've been trying to make all my hp figs flesh too! Check my flickr for figs. Quote
Matn Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 Thanks. Badboytje88, what's your Flickr? =) Here's another one: Vernon Dursley: Quote
Belloq Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Nice figs! I remember Harry's hair was now shoulder length by the Malfoy Mansion part, it would be nice if you made a long-haired Harry Anyway, where did that brown uncle Vernon torso come from? Quote
Matn Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 That brown torso came out the Privet Drive set, it is his pyjama's. And I think I'll keep Harry's hair as it is. ^_^ It's a shame I don't have more fleshie torso's lying around, common TLC: there's somebody who wants you to produce more fleshie figs! Here is Neville Longbottom as he appears in the seventh book, Neville has become stronger and is more selfcertain. I have a tiny problem: I don't know which face to use for Bill. His face was damaged after getting attacked by Fenrir, could this work: Quote
simonjedi Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 (edited) His face is damaged, not horribly deformed :P i think Darth vader transformation Anakin might be good. cool figs BTW, nice to see some lego potter love Edited June 8, 2008 by simonjedi Quote
badboytje88 Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Check them out. http://www.flickr.com/photos/badboytje88/ I used the darth vader head for bill. Quote
Matn Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 (edited) Ow, thanks, that face would be perfect! Now I'll just have to get it (he will belong to my first Bricklink orders outside the Netherlands and Belgium). Nice collection, badboytje88. And you have the same wishlist as I do (I really want to get my hands on the Grand Prix) and that hair of Obi Wan animated would work awesome for Lupos. I see the things I wanted to do has already been done. Oh, well, I still keep going further with this project. Later I will make scenes and such from the books. And now I've also noticed my two Durmstrang figures don't have flesh on their torso... Edited June 8, 2008 by Matn Quote
Sandy Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Hermoine with her backpack where anything fits in (a sidebag looks way nicer), Harry and Ron. The minifigures are charming, but you made a mistake here; it's not actually a backpack or a sidebag, but a purse or a handbag. I should know, I just finished reading the book in Finnish (read it in English last summer). badboytje88, your collection of HP-figs is astonishing. They're really imaginative! Quote
Matn Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 Oh, I always thought it was a sidebag or a backpack. I think I'll keep it like that, it looks nice. Yesterday I have started rereading the seventh book yesterdayevening, so I can reconise the figures and make them. I would really love TLC if they made that Anakin 'Clone Wars' hairpiece (like my sigfig) in black, so it would fit to Harry's hair. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow and will photoshop it black. Quote
Belloq Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) Wasn't Neville all puffy and beat up when they met up with him? Anyway, badboy, just saw the whole colelction, and I really like it though Fudge's face doesn't really truly feel Fudge-esque, and Charlie's ponytail is a bit...wierd Edited June 10, 2008 by Belloq Quote
JimBee Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 nice figs, both of you guys! yeah, i think that anakins hair in black would really be great for harry in the 7th book! but i have to say, Matn, your Ron looks like he had one too many bottles of rum... Quote
Matn Posted June 11, 2008 Author Posted June 11, 2008 Yes, I know, but the other face of him looks like a little child, so this fits the best I guess. Does anyone have ever tried to paint a hairpiece? I could buy the hair of Anakin and paint it black... But I said myself to not adjust pieces. I also could use brasso to make the lines under Ron's eyes go away... Quote
badboytje88 Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 (edited) Thanks for all the compliments! I really like the head you chose for neville. Makes him look more mature and less childish! Unfortunately I don't own that head.... I need to update my photos, I receaved a large order about 3 weeks ago, and a lot of figs have been changed. Maybee I'll post some new pics on saterday. Edited June 12, 2008 by badboytje88 Quote
Matn Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 It would be cool to see more of your figures, badboytje! Some new ones: Bellatrix Lestrange: (a rather mature) Charlie Weasley: I could have used the orange hair in a pony tail, but that looks terrible... The orange is too flashy! And (a young) Ginny Weasley: Now I'll search for some new torso's and heads and maybe I'll buy them together with some Speed Racer sets... Quote
lego.ryan Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Very cool figs, you did a good job with the outfits. And your Vernon Dursley is awesome! The only complaint I have is that I don't like the heads on Ron and Hermione, but that's really just a matter of personal preference I guess. I prefer the heads used in the Prisoner of Azkaban sets. This is kind of making me want to put all my Harry Potter figs and my Hogwarts sets back together now... Quote
JimBee Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 again, awesome figs! but Ginny looks... i dont know, too plain? maybe you could give her some freckles? Quote
Matn Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 Again: thanks. I'm not sure about the freckles, you're right, but customising figures isn't for now. Maybe if I'm older and when I dare to adjust them... Currently I'm working on Aberforth Dumbledore, but I don't know which torso to use. I also rembered that in the fifth movie the barkeeper (Aberforth) was rather big. Not tall, but, you know what I mean. And normally (in the books) he's big and thin, so I really would like to see how they do this in the seventh movie... And yes, Hermoine's bag isn't big, it's a purple little bag with pearls on it. But a sidebag is cooler. Quote
badboytje88 Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 (edited) Oh man I am really curious how you are going to make Aberforth. I think mine turned out quite nice, wait till I get some pics! Edited June 15, 2008 by badboytje88 Quote
Matn Posted June 15, 2008 Author Posted June 15, 2008 Here's Aberforth: I think he looks pretty good. And Professor Quirrel: Quote
badboytje88 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Hehe our quirrell is exactly the same! Well that isn't really hard since the bruce wayne head is the only suitable one... I really like your aberforth, hope you will like mine too. It think I'll be able to post some pics before 11 juli. Quote
Matn Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 I'm really looking forward to your figures. And I'll update this thread with new pictures next week or later (when I have bought new torsos and after the exams) Quote
Matn Posted August 30, 2008 Author Posted August 30, 2008 A bit later than planned, here are two new figures. (Yes, there is a lack of new torso's, but I only can hope that will change soon) Arthur Weasley, now image him with a brown hat, the one from the Castle 'Robin Hood' sets. James Potter, in the period when Harry was young. Quote
MoWo Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 (edited) Nice Maybe you can use Harry's Hair for James too But the idea of the Castle Robin Hood hat I like Undersigned MoWo Edited August 30, 2008 by MoWo Quote
