sam89 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I don't think it's underscale. Spider droids are about the same height as battle droids.
Bionic-Sun Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 But look at the size of it! It is way bigger than a battle droid!
Derek Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) But look at the size of it! It is way bigger than a battle droid! I think thats a HOMING spider droid. I dont know what the smaller ones are called, but they are different.(EDIT: Which the Lego form is much worse than the prelim. pics :( ) DP8 Edited October 15, 2007 by darthperson8
Batbrick Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I think thats a HOMING spider droid. I dont know what the smaller ones are called, but they are different.DP8 _________ Ahhh....Maybe thats the one I was thinking of when I thought the Hailfire droid was grossly undersized! :-D Thanks for that info darthperson8! TTFN! >:-)
captaintau Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 The Spide Droids that are Battle Droid height are (I think) Dwarf Spider Droids
Derek Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 That swhat those are called! Thanks captaintau! DP8
Piranha Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Thanks!! Alot for these Pics Sam!! The Rogue Shadow is looking awesome now for some reason(?) :-D Yes!!! A Shadow trooper in the Stormtrooper ship thingy *wub* No Antilles in the BP though,oh well still is awesome Everything else is Meh :-D *wub* 2008 is so sweet!! Piranha
jedikermit Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Thanks for the new pics, Sam...I'm still only interested in the battle packs, but BOY AM I! I'm gonna have to keep an extra $50 in my wallet for the day I see them in stores so I can just grab them.
iamded Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) The Spider Droid in that set is a Dwarf one, as evidenced by this pic of a Dwarf Spider Droid. ~Peace Edited October 16, 2007 by iamded
Vader Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Great find Sam *y* , so from these pics it looks to me like the anakin in the JSF will have a regular face and not the suspected new CW one. Also i only see 3 figs with the Rogue Shadow, perhaps we wont get a shadow trooper with it after all.
zz-80 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 The Rogue Shadow is looking awesome now for some reason(?) :-D Wait, let me guess: the blonde Juno? :-D
natelite Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Wait, let me guess: the blonde Juno? :-D i dont know why though. it's just a regular yellow pony tail hairpiece. i got plenty of those from the women soccer team set, which i bot on clearance. i prefer the black hatpiece. :-P
lewis Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Does any one else think that the black visors on the rebels' helmets could be stickers? That would be terrible :'-(
Vader Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Does any one else think that the black visors on the rebels' helmets could be stickers? That would be terrible :'-( Well never say never with lego, but i would be very surprised if that was the case.
Shakar Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Now that Juno gets the blonde hairpiece (I'm happy that they haven't completely repalced tan with dark tan) I hope that the printed hair on the face becomes tan too, because if it remains brown there would be an annoying colour inconsistency. Shakar
zz-80 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Well never say never with lego, but i would be very surprised if that was the case. Well yes, never say never, but to me they do look like the black visors we first got with Blacktron-1... *y*
Lord Of Pies Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) Thanks for the find Sam! I will be getting the stormie and rebel battle pack, and probably the AT-AP!! Edited October 16, 2007 by Lord Of Pies
natelite Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Well yes, never say never, but to me they do look like the black visors we first got with Blacktron-1... *y* it's most likely a printed helmet. lego likes to use printing when it comes to SW mfs. i doubt it would be a visor since the part doesnt move. it would be crazy to put a visor there and have kids just break it trying to get it to swivel downwards to cover the mf's face.
zz-80 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 That is a good point! I still think it could be a real visor because it has about the same size. Well let's wait and see! We know more in a few months... :)

We know more in a few months... :) _________ I do hope it is new, that way it is functionable and I have more parts for my own figs ;-) TTFN! >:-)
Piranha Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 (edited) Wait, let me guess: the blonde Juno? :-D Maybe *wub* *wub* I can't let an opportunity to get a Hottie like that go by me :-D I just hope that her face is less serious *wub* Needs High Res Pics badly Now :-D Piranha Edited October 17, 2007 by Piranha
SWMAN Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 The hailfire droid is a huge letdown. The original release was not only more to scale but way more detailed and not so childish looking. This one was way to few missiles and is way to small. This is one instance where newer is not always better. The other sets look really cool, and can't wait to see reviews about them. Also, maybe these rebel troopers have opened the door to a minfig scale tantive iv and endor troopers?

I have the first verison and even though it's a good design it just dosen't look right next to the other SW sets, i really wish that lego would of found a different way to produce it without using technic. Sure the new one is small but at least it fits in a lot better than the last one. :-/
xwingyoda Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Coming late in the discussion (G I hate beeing computer less >:-( ) !! Like always tks Sam for the finds !!
