Looks like a race to be first to the finish between the Seaside Market and the Siege Encampment....

I can't believe how quickly those two are going. Should I order one?! I held firm on not getting the Forest Stronghold because it didn't excite me. These two are better, but not as good as Lion Knight's Castle, Medieval Town Square, or Castle in the Forest or Black Falcon's Fortress - all of which I have and none of which I've build yet. Right, I'm going to stay still and not get them. Thank you for listening to my therapy session!

Well done! Stay strong. Fomo is real with bricklink designer programme. I'm not fussed about the seaside castle and haven't ordered it but part of is tempted just because it's the only chance to get it! 

I have ordered the siege set though. Impressed with that one

Castle does so well in the designer programme. You can see why they keep picking them. The transylvania set next time round is going to go super quick.

Series 5 is the one that I rate most highly. I think all of them look great, and bar the Antique Shop and Popcorn Wagon having crazy prices, I'm definitely going to get all of them.

I can totally understand that and kinda feel the same. I was unsure whether to buy the Forest Stronghold last time, I liked it but there are still many other sets to buy and it wasn´t exactly cheap either - same with this wave. Seaside market is good but I already decided against it. Was still undecided on the Siege, but as it is gone now, I kinda regret not getting it but well you can´t buy everything. 

As for the next round personally for me this wave was stronger than the next one, and I don´t have any plans on buying anything next time. Will be an easier Skip than this and last wave.

I was weak and got my foot in the door for Seaside Market and Siege Encampment... Though at this point it feels more like I jammed my toe in a corner. FOMO got the best of me this time - I probably should have just let someone else order them. Unless I can find someone locally who might want them when I get closer, I'll delete my preorder for these (which does make me feel bad for those who wanted to get the sets... Sigh).

I thought that they were changing the time of day for this round but it ended up being the same ol' 3am garbage again. Was really tired and slept through my alarm. Good thing I woke up with a start when it turned off at 3:30. Castle sets hadn't sold out yet so I got 1 each at that price. Seemed strange to have to type in my address at the checkout, and quite risky at that time of night, but it looks like I put the correct details in.

17h is an excellent time. It's a European company so they sell it at European times. You're living in the wrong part of the world. Who celebrates Christmas in summer anyway ? That's crazy. Lol

Ah Fomo, it's real. That's what trives the the Lego company. They thrive on fear... Lol

Yes. That one looks good. From SleeplessNight again. Very good designer. I will try to get it too, the Transsylvania castle.

Didn't realise you could cancel them. I went a bit overboard last series so might do that to limit the damage!

I think you did right. If it doesn't interest you enough to purchase at the start, it doesn't matter how quickly they sell, don't buy it. You shouldn't buy due to FOMO. I bought the Mountain Fortress on a whim and regretted it as I have plenty of Castle and MOCs in my own style already. I tried offering it for sale at £350 on facebook (RRP was £300) soon afterwards, then reduced it to £325 and then even to £300 and nobody was interested. It looks like it has gone up since, so I'll have to get it out and try again.

I was debating siege encampment (although I can't really afford right now) to go with Lion Knights' Castle but... kind of glad it's been taken away as a choice. Besides some of the stickers it's made up of so many small bits it should be fairly easy to do as a MOC.

The nice thing about the Mountain Fortress is that it's a somewhat different style to the Lion Knight's Castle. Whereas the Forest Stronghold and Seaside Market feel very similar to LKC in lots of ways.

I will part together a siege tower though, as it's a really nice design.

That Transylvania castle is going to sell out extremely fast.  Setting the alarms to get that one for sure.

You'll be fine in Asia and Australia, but no one in the US will buy it. Alarm set for the morning, click to order, the sun streams through the window, and poof! You've burned up into a pile of dust!

Yeah I feel the same way. Don't like the open back Forrest stronghold.

And the Seaside market looks like a grey Eldorado Fortress. Too plain and simple.

  I allready made my own siege tower years ago. Only interested in the trebuchet. Will build that when instructions become available

Castle is not as big like in Europa. US is more interested in Starwars and Marvel

For all LEGO does about diversity ... it is quite interesting that all the BL set designers this time are white, male and have a beard or at the very least stubble.

What are you trying to say? LEGO doesn't select BDP builders based on looks, gender, race or anything else... in fact, they don't select them at all! Hell, they don't even know who made them beyond a name on a screen at the time of the model submission. These models are selected through popular vote by the public and THEN Lego contacts the builders so it's a lottery as to what they look like. Your statement makes no sense, and is on the verge of trolling @MAB.

What is trolling about it? I just found it funny that all five designers have very similar features, so if anyone wants to get selected, they need to grow a beard.

It may not have been your intent, but your original comment comes across as making fun of diversity efforts by LEGO, in a way. And that's all I'm gonna say on the topic @MAB.

We should just stay on the main idea of the BDP series sets from this point lest we risk the moderators stepping in, IMO .

I'm really surprised that the Wild West train hasn't sold out. I suppose it has nothing new in it, and it's expensive.

Crowd support for series 7 starts in a few days. I wonder if some form of classic space will make a meaningful appearance, having been absent from previous finalists.

I noticed this too, and it's been pretty constant across all the series with the only exception (off the top of my head) being the train shed build.

I think it says more about the audience that Lego attracts, & especially MOC builders.

Its also rather specific.

OK its a train, but its a very specific train appearance wise and only works for a certain for a specific time period. It doesn't have the versatility of a blander / more European design which could be made to work in a number of different settings across the world.
