PF will only get more rare (and expensive) now that it is no longer in production. I find PU to work better with our large layout at model train shows. We don't need to have line of sight with the PU Remote Control. PF works perfectly fine for our small 2-4 table layout at outdoor picnic events. If you already have an investment in PF train motors...reuse two PF train motors on a PU hub. What is the cable you're using to connect the hub to the motors? I have a couple engines that would benefit from such a conversion. Quote

It's a custom PU to double PF connector cable with polarity reversed on one of the PF connector so it can run two PF train motors in the same locomotive. The connectors are 3D printed: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4781540 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4647388 Quote
