BrickWild Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 I like the use of the new tires on that model! In fact, the use of the older broader variants on the rear axle make great 'super singles'. ;-) Quote
Guyinaplaguemask Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 So the optimus prime file is now downloadable, I did credit you and Adrian in the comments. Quote
Sven J Posted September 22, 2021 Author Posted September 22, 2021 Hi @Guyinaplaguemask, looks good! However, I think the model could be cleaned up a bit: As there's no colour pattern as on my model, you could replace the dark blue "L" and "triangle" tiles on the sleeper walls with normal 2x2, for example. And I would attach the windscreen wipers 1 stud closer to the central pillar. Btw: When looking at prototype photos, I noticed that the side windows (too large), door handles (totally different) and the slopes below the doors on my model are not correct. I then redesigned these areas: The required parts arrived today, so hopefully I'll be able to show real-life photos of the modified model next weekend. Quote
Guyinaplaguemask Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Very cool. I may go back and add these, but I don't think it's necessary. I was attempting to keep as much of the build as original as possible. Quote
Sven J Posted September 27, 2021 Author Posted September 27, 2021 (edited) So here's the final version, with redesigned doors and smaller windows: Edited October 17, 2021 by Tenderlok Quote
Dazzzy Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 That is real perfection @Tenderlok What you've done here is truly inspiring to me! Quote
Sven J Posted September 28, 2021 Author Posted September 28, 2021 (edited) Thank you very much, @Dazzzy ! Edited September 28, 2021 by Tenderlok Quote
Sven J Posted November 21, 2021 Author Posted November 21, 2021 One last modification... I know I said it before, but this is REALLY the final version. For sure. I hope. I wasn't really happy with the sun visor, so I designed a new, more prototypical one. Besides, the Peterbilt now has air lines for the trailer brakes. Quote
Daniel-99 Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 Impressive! The main benefit of this build from my point of view is that it could really pull a lot of weight! it is not only a nice shelf model. Quote
