Would a 1L shorter hose on each side make any perceptible difference? no not really, you kinda want to put it at the maximum degree the bike can lean and then get back straight on its own without you having to manually launch it again :) Quote
amorti Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 It uses these quite a lot for turning, not just in crashes. Hard to say if that centimeter matters, but if yes then you can use always 3L non friction pins to bring the mounting point further outboard. Quote

Would you be so kind and also upload to rebrickable? https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-87577/A_morti/motocross-bike-self-balancing-rc-motorcycle/#photos I have no idea if the motor will pull it, but you could gear for a little extra speed using a pair of old 14 tooth bevel gears. Tip learned here from @phmzt Quote

On the last thread there was a feedback that being a self balancing motorcycle wasn't cool enough, the model needed to be a model of something. Also it needed more details and a mudguard. @Mechbuilds also said how about if it could be an e-bike, to "explain" the bulk of battery in the middle of the bike. Well, I've had a shot at modelling a 2015+ KTM e-SM. There are obvious limitations from building it in Lego, such as Lego tyres having an unrealistically low profile (scale is pretty well correct to the wheel rims but not the tyres), and servos needing a lot of space, but other than that I'm quite pleased how it turned out. What do you guys think? Unfortunately I also have no video of driving it either, as I need an 8L gear rack for the steering and don't have one. dude that thing is sick! could you make instructions? aFrInaTi0n Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 (edited) @piterx put down the Manual for the MOC, as it is not really working "so well" from his perspective. Edited May 24, 2024 by aFrInaTi0n Quote

It was a different bike I was working on. But once it got off the bench and took a first test, it was just no good using an XL motor with chain drive, so I gave up on it. Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 ah sorry, then I got it wrong from the gif / not looking closely enough :D Quote
amorti Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 @Nerfminoshunter https://bricksafe.com/pages/A_morti/piterx-moto-x You're welcome to have a go at improving it, but please understand that it doesn't work as it is; it'll tear the chain off very easily. To be honest I think it's fundamentally flawed. Quote
