The Reader Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 @Murdoch17 Great minds think alike! Regarding the station master from the Orient Express: I prefer the tan suit to the blue one as it has more "safari" vibes. But we can be salomonic: tan for the day, blue for the evening ... Quote

I personally think the dark tan robes look morel like lounge wear / night clothes, but maybe that's just me. To each their own! Edited May 5, 2024 by Murdoch17 Quote

Lion King Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 I don’t know if most of you know already know but there is a golden dragon statue from a new Ninjago set. It’s veery useful for Adventuruers as a lost treasure! Quote
Murdoch17 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 @The Reader Sadly, that is only available in the UK as a test of the interactive bricks and is limited to 10,000 families. (according to Brickset) So, in essence we wait 21 years for a Adventurers follow-up, and all the really cool sets are locked away from the majority of the fans. It's depressing and infuriating! Quote

I was talking about Ninjago, not Jungle subtheme from City. But I agree it is sad that we won’t get those cool sets, especially Lost Crocodile Temple. Quote

Although I do agree the dragon would be a nice treasure! Edited June 9, 2024 by Murdoch17 Quote

I still agree with you that it’s sad we won’t get those cool Jungle. Sets. Quote

I tried my luck. Although I live in Germany I applied for the UK-based test. Keep your fingers crossed ... perhaps I have luck (well I don't believe I will have luck anyway) ... @Murdoch17 Yes, it's a pity! Quote

Lion King Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 I can’t believe it is 21 years already… definitley it’s long overdue for new Adventurers theme! Quote
The Reader Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 (edited) This Friends set (42626) could be used as an Adventurers/explorers HQ in the jungle (just remove the minidolls, the kayaks and the leisure stuff): Edited June 13, 2024 by The Reader Quote

Same could be said about the big tree house. Gives me Dino Island research base vibes with that zip line. Quote

Lion King Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I was looking through the minifigure collections and I saw this Paleonologist from CMF Series 13. Will her hat+hat be perfect for Pippin or nah? Quote

I'm sorry to say I already have a design for a base, but haven't built it yet in real life. This new summer-camp Friends stuff does not interest me anyway. Sorry to disappoint! Quote

The Reader Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 (edited) @Oky @Murdoch17 @Jack Sassy Yes, those Friends set are not bad! I wouldn't be surprised if we see one of the Jungle Explorers in one of the next issues of the German Lego City magazine ( https://www.blue-ocean.de/lego-city ). Perhaps modern Johnny Thunder and a baby gorilla? Edited June 15, 2024 by The Reader Quote

I've only bought three sets this year - one of which is a CMF figure. Last year it was five sets, where two were CMF's along with a GWP parts pack. Anyway, I uploaded pictures to Flickr today, but the site's down right now so sadly I can't post them here. Edited June 15, 2024 by Murdoch17 Quote
