"Well they certainly picked a nice spot for it!" observed one of the potential investors as he scanned the decorative venetian style headquarters building.

"Indeed!" validated the whiskered and bespectacled investor alongside the first.

The two gentlemen were escorted past an annex building decorative enough to have been a royal mausoleum.

As they came around to the front of the palace-like central building, they truly began to appreciate the scale of the headquarters, and the ambitious plans that would require such a royal setting to orchestrate. All around, a tri-color of blue, atop white, atop gold flew proudly alongside the King's own banner. Clearly, the Admiral intended for the LBSF banner to be recognizable to any who saw it.

The sound of waves breaking in Eltina's South-East facing bay added to the scene of marble columns, pergolas, decorative paving stones, fountains, and manicured gardens that framed the headquarters building.

Marble statues of national hero's crowned the front of the already ornate... royal even... commercial building.

As they walked on they caught sight of the man Admiral Beauchamp had selected to oversee this colossal undertaking, Captain Kenneth Rogierres and his long serving quartermaster Mr. Blake approaching the main entrance ahead of them.

Rogierres and Blake were met by another pair of would-be investors in the new enterprise, "Bonjour Captain Rogers!" called the first.

LBSF_10

"It is pronounced Rogierres, but Bonjour, and Kenny is just fine, please!" Captain Rogierres corrected with a disarming smile, his solid grey hair, long and unkempt in the rear, while close cropped and all business in the front, distracting the investors, while the horse and dolphins fountains flanking the walkway to the overlook bubbled on in the background.

The serene setting was helped by an imposing, yet ornate, perimeter wall, blocking out the outside noise of the island's second city.

Out on the overlook, under the pergola, on one of the benches he had custom ordered for just this spot, the one who had scoped such a bold and auspicious headquarters for an equally bold and auspicious business venture sat quietly with his long time companion and master shipwright, reviewing the draft charter documents he hoped to finalize for Kenny in the coming days.

Things were coming together and soon the Crown's first private chartered trade company would launch their maiden trade voyage.

What an impressive building, the white details and all are great and it really pops against the blue.  Really neat details like the dolphin statues and the fence design!
