evancelt Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Colonel Tomás Francisco of the Eslandolan Continental Army arrived in Damaborg with artillery and supplies to reenforce the fledgling settlement. He expected to find the people of the settlement, including almost a full regiment of MAESTRO soldiers, living in tents or other temporary housing. Instead, he found a town on the rise with several permanent wooden structures and enterprising artisans taming the wilderness to extract the resources necessary to expand. Spoiler ------------ OOC: A large portion of my bricks are tied up in a display I'm doing with CoWLUG in Denver this weekend, so I figured I'd make a small greencoat build! I plan to do a real licensable Damaborg build in the future. Quote
NOD Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 This is a great reinforcement for the settlement. I particularly like Colonel Tomás Francisco's uniform. Quote
Maxim I Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Great minifigs! Well, not great for myself as it makes my wondering if I should buy some of those torso's as well The torso of the Colonel is indeed brilliant Quote
Jeff of Clubs Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Good stuff. New settlements can never have enough cannon. Quote
evancelt Posted April 1, 2022 Author Posted April 1, 2022 Thanks @NOD @Maxim I @Jeff of Clubs ! Here are some behind the scenes shots. Used the ATV axle from a recent Animal Rescue mini set as the basis for the cannon: Spoiler My current minifig photo setup, which consists of a cheap lightbox tent, posterboard, and two $8 amazon lamps. The only part I splurged on was some nicer "daylight" LED bulbs for the lamps because I end up taking all of my photos at night once kids are in bed and there isn't a chance for natural light: Spoiler The tree and dandelions, which started as an excuse to use those bright green candle pieces on some veg: Spoiler Quote
Jeff of Clubs Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 Thanks for sharing that! Its the black fezs I'm missing. Quote
