The minifig poly bag plot thickens, a TRU store manager told me late afternoon that it is called MINI PEOPLE - $ 2.99 - No. 8364 (yeah different number) - not ordered yet & 8 weeks arival time from ordering he said. Goodness a straight answer from Lego would really help. I'm a conformist! !

Hey lightningtiger/everyone, I have only enquired about #8683 (series 1) #8684 is series 2, the thought had never crossed my mind to check on series 2. This might be where the confusion is coming from. There is 1 costco in Melbourne and soon to be one in Sydney. I'm not sure, but I think they do occassionally, but just the odd set. The MUGS lego Ambassador Sue Ann Barber is (I think) a costco member and got a cheap helicopter transport a while back. We're having a meeting this weekend so I'll try and remember to ask.

The Fight for the Dagger is cheaper than I listed it as so that was either an error on my part or that of the site it came from. I'm slowly being won over by these sets. I blame those in charge here for all the PoP promotion, and the quality of the Alamut set. This isn't quite a sales post but comes from a sale site, and it definitely might interest some of our more talented MOCers out there (they know who they are, I know who they are, and they do tend to get a few front page promotions for their fantastic work) National Lego builder competition My apologies if this has been posted before, and I couldn't find the terms and conditions they refer to, hopefully it's not 'must be under 12 years of age'. Weird that the smaller sets are better value in comparison to the US price than the largest one. $18 for the Desert Attack is amazing considering the $23 price for the SW Battlepacks and Army Men set $30 for Ostrich Race is good too considering the Indy Chauchilla set was $AUD40 compared to a $UD20 price (same price that Ostrich is.) Good value! And no doubt even more attractive once they hit sales here.

Who is most likely to actually have one on the shelf? Should I wait for a sale before jumping? (normally I dont buy Starwars because of the "Lucas Tax" but this set has too many cool parts and I just have to jump before its too late)

Their so-called "clearance" price is just the Shop @ Home price (and presumably therefore the .au RRP) My guess for the best way to get one is to wait for a k-mart sale (do those happen anymore?) and find a k-mart with one in stock. But it would probably be easier to buy the "good bits" (such as that clear dome piece) from Bricklink and ignore the set :P

By the way, Home One is now only $ 149 and the Twillight is $ 99 at TRU, yep and the fire brigade is $ 299 at Gepps Cross TRU/BRU store. Kmart cleared out the yellow Y-wing months ago. I assume this is the current Y wing with the Asohka (sp?) minifig. This was in Epping Victoria so it may also not be particularly useful info in Perth, I haven't been there since I was 7 :-) If I need to find a set that is no longer widely available I always try Toyworld, but they rarely have the best price, normally full RRP.

Also has home one for US$95 now.

From what I understand very few came to Australia, I was lucky the TRU at Gepps Cross got 9 in, after my visit they were down to 8 - two months later - nothing now - they are all gone.
