Hey, I don't go here much so this speculation might be something others have observed as well. But I recently thought about trying to MOC some things from the Spider-Verse movies, and when I was looking at reference for Prowler's motorcycle from the first one, I noticed that Lego recently released a new fairing that looks to be a pretty close match, and has so far only appeared, unprinted, in a single set. I've seen fans of the movies say that Lego really missed the opportunity to do sets based on them (especially given the Lego Spider-Man scene in the latest one), but I wonder if maybe there are still plans to do so? Maybe to tie in with the third part of the trilogy next year?

Anyway, it's just idle speculation, no insider knowledge or anything here. But that new motorcycle fairing only appearing in one set does seem a lil suspicious...

Do Stuntz fairings work on non Stuntz motorcycle chasses? They wouldn't include a Stuntz motorcycle in a Marvel set.

Wouldn't they? I wouldn't necessarily assume that because they haven't so far doesn't mean they ever will. A lot of sorts of parts have a certain period of exclusivity to a given theme only to later be allowed to be used more broadly.

I think @Clone OPatra referred to the fact that Stuntz motorcycles have an in-built friction motor (I think, I've never actually used one) and so might not be included in regular sets because of that feature, not because of "exclusivity".

Is the Marvel CMF releasing in September? When might we get images?

Yes. August at the latest

Kinda tired of hand statue builds at this point. It's accurate, just not for me.

I'm surprised we've not had a colour-swapped red version of this with an arc reactor build in the palm potentially with a light brick or glow-in-the-dark piece. Then again, I'm still disappointed we've not gotten a Spider-man bust to go alongside the Venom & Carnage.

I actually liked the Wolverine claw, and then I realized it's a blue hand with silver claws, literally no detail. I guess I should've looked at source material, but not even some yellow / black highlights makes it look pretty plain

So random body parts made out of LEGO are a thing now? Helmets, fine. At least they, as the recent Star-Lord version proved, only include the artificial parts when the helmet doesn't cover the entire head. Thanos' gauntlet, fine. Ironman's gauntlet, fine. Black Panther's whatever, fine.

But unless I'm mistaken, Wolverine's claws are actually a permanent part of his body, so what's next? Looking forward to Spiderman's toenails and similar sets ...

This looks like one of those meme sets. What was the idea here? That the gauntlet sets sold well, and they needed something in a different color so they couldn't just do iron man's gauntlet? The gauntlets didn't sell well because people like collecting forearms....

I just hope that when this flops, they won't say X-men sets don't sell well and, say, cancel the mansion or something.

That comment made my day, LOL.

That said, I'm not sure it will flop, at least not hard. The subject matter does suck, but Wolverine probably has more fans than Black Panther at least, and given how little merchandising there is for them, LEGO X-Men fans might well be desperate enough to buy this.

My desperation led me not to buy buildable things even if I like them, in protest :-P

I would buy this hand in the middle of a line of traditional sets, but this seems like a joke to me

I think the main attraction to these kinds of sets is appeal to "adult" consumers.
I personally believe casual moviegoers are less likely to display a playset with minifigures out of fear of being percieved as "childish". These pieces however, can be considered display items or collectibles, thus making the gap a bit less of a gap for them. Pure speculation, but one way or another, It completely alienates a huge chunk of the audience. I can't remember buying a set since 3/4 years ago now. Holding out high hopes for our minifigure series.

This one actually looks really cool. Definitely one of the best buildable objects they've done.

The only complaints I have is that it would look better if the middle claw was longer. The price should also be 20€ less.

Insert obligatory "giving the finger" joke here, which may also be why they've avoided this in the first place.

Quite a surprise to see the glove with claws instead of a mask, but it also make sense since the claws are (I think) the most iconic feature of Wolverine.
I think I'll actually get it. Wolverine's my favorite Marvel character ever and the build looks decent enough.

Heh, for me the only complaint is that the claws seem a bit too thick, though I suppose that's unavoidable.
Also the fingers look somewhat thick (or short)

Pricing can always be lower

*Sigh* LEGO really doesn't know what adult LEGO Marvel fans want do they? Yet another gauntlet/helmet on a stand for an exorbitant price. These things must sell somewhere but I always see them shelfwarm for months and eventually go on sale and even then I still don't have any interest.

LEGO, if you're listening, adult LEGO Marvel fans still want minifigs and minifig-scaled sets and dioramas!

I agree

I agree! This is one of the few ones I wouldn't be utterly ashamed to have in display!

Too bad it's insanely expensive.

Kinda lame if we don't get Deadpool sets next year, because I'm excited for the wacky fun it'll bring with it.

Supposedly the main character from that is also present with the actor from that, so I'm very excited as a fan of the character in general, even if not that specific interpretation.

That said, we aren't getting deadpool 3 sets. It's definately a hard R rated film and I can't see lego budging on that. The most we get is sets involving some of the characters (but I'm not even sure we'd see deadpool himself) or possibly sets based off the films of certain characters with extended cameos.
