The Dictionary says the Black Sabbath-wearing Tony minifigure appears in THREE sets.  But we only know of two.  so he can get to the Tower?  we may have confirmation that she is also based on Avengers 2012

ps. Exabrickslegogo on insta points out that there is also the armory and buildable groot bundle, so that's probably the third set :-/

I know you already retracted your point right after Exabricks' comment, but I think this is worth exploring.

For what it's worth, I don't think the tower will be based in any movie in specific. I think if we do get an avengers tower, it would just be a mash of every movie it's appeared in.

like the iron man armory… mmm it could be.  You're probably right, because I'm not good with predictions :-D but I expect a double logo on the box, like the sanctorum.  And I'm still convinced that lego took advantage of the sign switch between one film and another, to add the game function :-)

I mean, its cool, neat suit, just we could've gotten a better fig instead.

I mean it got the helmet print, torso and leg print which is something. Could honestly have been a recycle again.

I don't think they've ever recycled a dictionary fig, they only do that for those piddly little magazine type things.

How INCREDIBLY disappointing!! Not by ANY MEANS a surprise, but definitely a let down none the less... it's sad to say, but in all honesty, I was SOOOO VERY EXCITED for our 1st Marvel book like this, but being that the exclusive fig is ANOTHER Iron Man, assuming the $50 price point is correct, I may just skip it! Is that being childish?? Yall are free to say so if it is! 😂

Highly unlikely you'll be paying $50 in the US. I've preordered it from Mightyape and it is NZD$48. My guess would be USD$30 - USD$35 based on price conversions of other sets.

Personally, really happy to be getting a new Iron-Man suit, especially a comic one at that.

I feel like that's what it'd have to be right? There are enough iconic moments spread across the MCU there that it would feel weird for it to be strictly based on one film.

I watched Ant Man 3 last night.

A modular of Hank Pyms house would be a good set. While it's not particularly iconic its a would fit the modular look, it's been in all 3 films and it could be stuffed full of good minifigures and easter eggs. It would also appeal to modular fans who have no interest in Marvel, like the sanctum did.

I appreciate this isn't going to happen.

Great minds! This would be a good set

Iron man is a bit of a dull character choice but at least it’s something a bit different. I’m desperate for Lego to go a bit bigger on Marvel minifigures - add more, different designs, niche characters or costumes. I know Star Wars is likely more popular but it shows that Lego is capable of going bigger on minifigures occasionally.

I’m a bit biased as minifigures are probably one of my favourite parts of collecting and building Lego but give me more!!!

It could of been a chance to get a cool obscure but interesting character who'd be hard to fit into a regular set. But of course it's an iron man suit :hmpf:.

It'll be available for a long time going by the previous books, but I'm really not interested in this one. Can we get a mutant next time please or if it has to be a variant at least man it something a little bit different like spider punk or something.

I think the Iron Man fig is perfect. The dictionary is a must buy for Iron Man collectors but not a character that casual lego fans cant get elsewhere (like Rita Skeeter).

I wonder if it has an exclusive face print beneath the helmet? Overall, I actually really like the fig.

It is a neat minifig, and a not highly desirable one, so it is a win for me. I wish LEGO made more Iron Man comic armors, there is so many good ones (like the armor from the guardians run, and the gold and black, which was never adapted in the MCU).

Gonna be honest, I don't get why people don't like this. It's a significantly visually different iron man suit from the comics, and we don't get many comics figs nowadays. I don't like the new helmet, but for some reason this one's working for me.

I feel like the face should've been wider, but don't dislike the minifigure overall.

Maybe people are having Ironman burnout and don't realize it just yet.

It's not that significantly visually different I mean it's still mostly red and gold ( I know it's has a black middle but so what), it doesn't have any thing particularly special, iron man isn't a favourite character of mine personally.

At least when the book figs were batman they were very distinct, like the electro Batman from the Lego batman video games or the yellow lantern one ( though I never actually got that on because I have multiple yellow lantern torsos so it's an easy enough purist custom) or the pirate one.

I must admit that I'm not a big comic reader and when I do it's DC over marvel. But as far as I can tell this suit isn't anything special, I mean if the new 52 batman was the fig for the book instead of electro Batman I'd have the same reaction because it's just an ordinary batsuit that would make for sense to be in a comic set.

If it has to be Iron man, he does have more  suits that are more unique and would be more of a draw. I don't really care that much as it just means I won't get the book but I'm trying to explain why it isn't an interesting enough fig to make me want the book, not that me not wanting the book is really a bad thing.

Some examples of more interesting and unique iron man suits are : the sorcerer supreme armour, Thor buster, 1602, Excalibur, superior ironman, 2099, etc

I totally agree with everything you've said! We'll, except for the comics and DC over Marvel thing, in regards to the book and the fig in general. It's just another of the same old, same old!

See above... 😂... in all seriousness, I just feel like this could have been put in a set somewhere at some time. There is VERY LITTLE visual difference with this suit, unless you're really examining it. It's not like if I display it with all the others it would stand out like the Silver Centurion or even the Scuba Iron Man suit, not that the scuba suit is one of my favorites or anything, but just its color makes it pop out. And I feel like the books have generally had good variants and such and being that this is the first ever Marvel book it would have been nice to get something truly unique. I honestly figured, as much as I would have like to see Stan Lee or something like that, it's not a surprise it's Iron Man, and I'm much more of an MCU fan than comics, but regardless, there are MANY more options that would have hooked people.

Would have preferred an original comic-book version Iron Man.

OH heck yeah, im down for that 100%, hopefully we get comic book accurate minfigs again some day, i just prefer that over the realistic MCU ones, especially with all the new molds we've gotten, i'd love to see a new version of comic cap, and, my god, they could do the fantastic 2008 Abnett Star-Lord.

anyway, off topic but i got my GOTG 3 tickets today, hopefully we see gamora in the green outfit but a lil toned down otherwise it would be inappropriate and Abnett helmet star lord that way its full on accurate to Abnett's run, i doubt this movie will be bad, cuz its made by James Gunn, Peyton Reed isn't a good director IMO, he has shown that he's pretty incompetent with the first Ant-Man sequel, dang, why did Edgar Wright leave..., Taika Waititi already showed signs of a comic relief Thor in ragnarok, Thor was already doomed, but i should stop this here otherwise its gonna be way too off topic,

Considering that u/FluffySky6 said that the X-Men Minifigs look like their '90s incarnations rather than their modern ones, I assume that Storm will have her white suit (since all film depictions of her over the past ~20 years have the black costume). I also hope that she has appropriately voluminous hair (either this or a new piece)!

I’m curious to see her hairpiece too. In the LEGO games, Beast’s hairpiece was just the Wolverine one but dark blue. I hope for the CMF figure they do something a bit more voluminous/something bigger and/or more expressive, maybe a hybrid between these two pieces: the aforementioned Wolverine hairpiece (I tried to imbed the link in “this” to write “this and this” but it didn’t work) and this, maybe a piece as though the latter one has been cut and/or shaped in a way similar to the former one?

I hope that Beast's hair has moulded ears, since they are quite prominent in his animated design.

Hopefully they make a Marvel CMF which is comic-accurate. Some would argue the DC one didn't do well? Then again the upcoming X-men 97 have costumes that are more cartoon accurate than any of the MCU.
