Redhead1982 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I'm not building with bricks as much as I'd like to, but when I do, this represents some sort of relaxation and meditation. Specifically, this tiny pavilion over the lake was inspired by several art pieces of Asian-inspired gardens and landscapes. In addition, it started out as a digital MOC due to a lack of space to find the basic parts to test the concept of the pavilion's support, and then it quickly grew to an almost final build. However, when I finally collected almost all of the parts needed, I found a few weaknesses that needed an update. Nevertheless, the complete experience was once again a very relaxing retreat from every day's stress and that is exactly what this hobby means to me - a way to relax during the busy days, take my mind off, and wander off to fantasy landscapes anything is possible. Professor Thaum Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Very peaceful atmosphere. Gorgeous build Quote
Vindicare Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Fantastic job! I could never make it there..,without a boat anyways. I like the variations in the water. Ever since expanding the Ninjago Modulars area...I see water in a whole new light. Something so simple as placing 1x2 tiles can be very complex depending on what you put below them. The rock work & vegetation is excellent as well. Quote
BJE_2358 Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Love the water lilies! The deep and shallow color variation is amazing as well. The tree and the stepping stones are excellent. Quote

Thanks, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, even during digital and later physical building. I'm glad I'm not the only one getting these serene vibes. The idea was to try and make rocks as steps to get to the elevated pavilion, so I tried different combinations for the rocks as well as to add some background with the tall ones. 8 hours ago, BJE_2358 said: The tree and the stepping stones are excellent. There's actually two trees, but it's not clear from this perspective. Before your comment, I didn't even realize it. Quote
