Max_Lego Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 The legendary Soviet battleship never built - Project 23. 4 ships of this type should have been constructed before the Great Patriotic War to operate in Soviet seas. The construction was cancelled due to the war and the remains were disassembled afterwards. Battleships are beautiful, yet expensive and vulnerable ships, and it would have been better to invest in aviation (which, eventually, was done). Nevertheless, the ship has a small fanbase among navy enthusiasts and deserves to be recreated in Lego form. The model is 1/1200 scale and, IMHO, is very accurate (I used 1/1200 technical drawings as a reference). Some may recognise this ship from my first Star Wars Mysteries freebuild - yes, I deliberately based the Galactic Empire on this build (but the Imperial warship is supposed to be bigger IRL). Enjoy! Feuer Zug Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Well built. For the small scale, you managed to pack in a lot of punch. NPU with the primary and secondary weapons. Even the transition from SNOT to various inverted or not pieces it quite interesting. Quote
