I’m not too crazy about minidoll-orienteded themes so I kinda hope for minfigure—oriented female-centered theme filled with fantasty creatures.

Which didn´t use Minifigures though ;). But yeah, Elves was a great theme, wouldn´t mind if they would bring something like this or Fantasy Era back.

You said a female centered theme with fantasy creatures which is literally what Elves was just not minifigs.  Hence why I said Like Elves.

Yet i said “minifigures”in my original post but yes, i can see now.  A new female-centered minifigure theme in Evles style would be fantastic.  This should attract young girls into  fantasy-themed castle one.

Don’t get me wrong but i don’t care if it’s a girly minifigure-world theme, i would grab fantasy creatures. I am not too crazy about cute eyes  on creatures in minidoll themes.

I actually have some of the Elves sets the Elvenstar tree set was great and I use it for my Moon Elves.  The Elves theme had some great pieces that I use in my fantasy world and the Goblin King dragon is a really nice looking dragon.  I also used several of the hair and hood pieces for customizing my figs.

I would love to get a medieval style fantasy theme with different factions. Humans, Dwarfs, Elves etc. There are so many things they could do with such a theme...

I would like to see some more medieval accurate factions or minifigs in general. Not all men at arms should hve a crest, not all soldiers have to be the same… the castle theme as it is right now is reliable way too much on just simple scheme (minifig design wise). I would like to see more types of helmets, polearms, torso prints with chainmail or padded armour, new colours of horses (black and white are desperatelly missing), more flags and banners… Its really hard to make an army with 1-2 same torso print.

As much as I like the new faction of horse knights to the overall pallette, i am a little bit sceptical about the colour choices. Hopefully we het griphon and kraken faction as well, sicne their colour scheme is way more interesting…

What I really like is the new Seroent knigt leg and torso print… Glad to see no snake emblem on torso or belt, since the minifig is more customizable. This is a bug win. At least for my taste :)

I find the main model of the new Creator 3 in 1 set a bit busy, it makes a less good impression on me than its predecessor set 31120 concerning the overview. However, having skipped the latter (I was perfectly satisfied with 10305), I will take two copies of the 31168 because I find that it offers a very interesting pack of basic parts (especially with these metapieces) to create my own medieval models, and especially the new figurines are successful. Too bad there are no masonry pieces like in the 31120 set however.

I will also take the set 31167 Haunted Mansion because the main model is very successful (but overall too expensive) and of course for the ghost which reminds me of my childhood with the Castle sets of the 90s.

I'll finish by saying that I'm pleased with the addition of these two sets to the Creator 3 in 1 line. It makes me appreciate it even more because, at a time when large, expensive licensed display models dominate store shelves, this one maintains the LEGO spirit: creativity and friendliness of all ages.

The chainmail torso used by the Black Knights and Royal Knights is one of my favorites and does look good when used by several minifigs in the same build/display.

Agreed, it would be very cool to see different factions.  Wizards / good witches, knights,  friendly trolls, etc.

Sometimes I would like to see dark fantasy creatures like dark elves, goblins, dark phoenixes, black unicorns, etc.

For me no medieval fantasy. Let's keep it old skool 80ies classic. We allready have Fright Knights and Dragon Masters in the past. Didn't like them.

Elves, dwarves, goblins and  things,

we allready have Lord of the Rings....

Disagree. Enough nostalgia pandering. We barely have enough Lord of the Rings and you can easily take out factions from fantasy and use them for "classic" stuff. Elves, dwarves, goblins, orcs, dragons only add more. Fantasy Era was easily Lego's best castle era.

Fantasy era and Kingdoms were my favorite themes.  Would love to see an original Lego theme with fantasy creatures like minotaurs, centaurs, dwarves, elves, dark elves, goblins, demons, lizard men, dragons, griffons, halflings, gnomes, etc.  There would be so much to explore and the architecture for each could be very different.

I  pre-ordered the creator castle for €100  yesterday .

Not currently offered as pre-order here in the USA... maybe I missed it when originally announced and they are now 'reserving' stock more for when it goes on sale???

Come to think of it, dwarves and elves are factions they have not yet redone!

I think parts from some of those could be Moc'ed to make some Roman/ Greek mythological creatures!

Actually it's €99 on a Dutch webshop. At Lego's website it's €120.

Lord of the Rings gets one big Set each year - with one Dwarf (well two actually) and most important parts not avaiable on PAB. So this is really a bad argument. Aside from that I would take an fresh Theme with new factions especially Fantasy ones over any returning faction - and in the end I belive the one would be for Icons anyways and the other for a new theme ;)

Yeah, would love to get that. Though to get what is listed there, we would need the theme to run for several years and if that would really happen it wouldn´t be good for my purse lol. And I would definitely would need a bigger place with an own Lego-room.

Phoenixes, dark phoenixes, unicorns, pegasus, mermaids,  krakens (if we don’t get fantasy pirates theme, mind you), hippocampus,, Sphinxes (if we dont’ get Adenturers theme)

It would be very interesting to see Minotaur as bigfigs.

Most of those fantasy creatures sounds perfect to include at one point or another into the CMF series. Hell, half of those mentioned have been in one or the other CMF series.

Which would make them the desirable figures again and the hunt begins ;). Don´t get me wrong I am all for such figures in CMFs and it always is good to get more different figures to get some variation, but they will never be able to replace an own theme.

Would it be still CASTLE though? I think that this is rather some fantasy / DnD like theme . Castle should be about knights, villagers, maxbe some fantasy bits like dragons or wizards but thats about it IMHO.

Depends on how you view castle as a theme.  I mean lego had the fantasy era castle sets so it was included within the castle line.  I have my own castle/fantasy world.  I don't get hung up on realism for my castle stuff, i like using stuff from other themes too like LOTR/Hobbit, Ninjago, Dreamzzz, hidden side, Marvel, DC, HP, SW, Monkie kid, etc to create figs and use parts to fill out my world in lego.  Also if you look at it Lego's castle theme is meant to use your imagination too it's had dragons, wizards, witches, skeletons, ghosts, so it's definitely had some fantasy elements to the theme.

I cannot really see them doing a female dominated minifigure theme. They have already found that minidolls sell well to girls. If they want to sell fantasy to girls (again), I imagine they'd use minidolls again.

If they are doing a new minifigure based fantasy theme, I'd expect them to use both male and female characters in the important roles so it appeals to both boys and girls.
