2025 Castle [wishlist/speculation]

I'm taking the rumors with a grain or two of salt... Not too long ago, they announced a new Disney castle with "at least" X amount of minifigs and it came out with exactly X amount!  I don't want to get my hopes too high. Although I am already elated at baseline at hearing that there will be 2 new spaceman colors and 2 new castle factions.

That's fine but it's coming out in June and these leaks are really likely to be true and it's a trusted source.  

I think they wanted to test the market and see what the fans really liked in the vote for the gumball set.

For all we know those four medieval minifigs in the set could be two from the vote, and two of the 3-in-1 hose knights set.

I highly doubt that as that seems to be the selling point of the 3in1 set they wouldn't release those figs in a set before the 3in1 set comes out.

Pretty sure they are included, aside from space and castle they are the third big theme from legos history, and as zoth mentioned I think they were mentioned before. Now with Castle and Space taking up half the places, I wonder about the rest. If Fabuland, Paradisa, Pirates and the ideas minifig (though that could aswell be included in the paradise figure) get figures we would have them all. But anyways, shouldn´t be long till we know for sure.

The rumor/ leak says that there will be 4 space and 4 castle. What are the odds that, for example, we will get 2 teal and 2 warm gold minifigs? Possible that it is one male and one female each? I guess that makes the most economic sense for Lego. Another possibility is that we just get one of each color and the other two are other classic space theme? Same for castle. I mean the space and castle themes just take up too much real estate in the minifig count. Not that I'm complaining.

Of the eight remaining figs, they still have Paradisa, and Fabuland themes. Maybe that's it, and that would give everyone 4 figs each theme. If there are more themes, then it will be what, two each? Then there has to be a fourth theme?

Male and Female Space Minifigs don´t make any sense at all actually, people want the classic smile, and pretty sure that will be included. The question is just if there will just be two of each colour, which is probably the most likely option - I still would like it if they would include the purpe and the dark blue one.

I don´t think we will see 4 Figures for Fabuland and Paradisa - we will get one or two each - pretty sure some pirates, so if we expect two for each of those, one would stil be missing

I wish for Pirates.  The original submission did have Captain Redbeard so I hope to see at least him.  I'm thrilled we will get 4 space & 4 Castle themed figs.  While it would be nice to get two of each of the chosen ones it would be an interesting turn if we actually got 4 totally new figs for each of those themes.  I'd be happy with the rare Purple Spaceman and a Green or Earth Blue one.  I'd be thrilled if we actually got all 4 of the Castle ones that were in the contest.  I will be waiting for the eventual arrival of the parts on PAB.

I have no experience with Fabuland or Paradisa.  They were out when I was into Classic Space, Castle & Pirates.  Fabuland was too babyish for my taste.  Paradisa was too Barbie for me but I did like the some of new colors it brought though I never bought any.  Also since my SIL banned LEGO from their house I was never able to buy anything from these lines for my nieces who would have been in the right age range for these when they were available.  The only LEGO set I ever bought them was a Duplo set that was banished to reside at our house so they could play with it on the rare occasions they visited us.  Didn't bother after that.  Just bought what I wanted for me and didn't let them near any of it.

She had a godson who had LEGO & left bits & pieces everywhere to be stepped on, whatever.  Because of that she said no LEGO would never be allowed in her house because she didn't want to have to clean it up or step on it.  So my nieces were deprived of all the fun & imagination. Her parenting style was to hand them a Game Gear or Game Boy to keep them entertained.   A few years back when my Brother asked if he could have his old LEGO back I firmly told him no.  This was the main reason.  The other was all his stuff which was basic bricks from the 60's & early 70's had long been mixed in with all the basic bricks I had acquired over the years.  I still have it all.  Except, I think we donated the Duplo set before we moved.

Wow. So essentially no kids toys at all? Because most of them have a load of small pieces/accessories. Even the cartridges of a handheld can be left on the floor. What a shame.

They used to play board games before they discovered video games.  They never play much with any dolls.  I gave them a few Star Wars Action Figures but I don't know if they actually ever played with them.  They were into Beanie Babies which I supplied them a lot of until they started asking me to replace ones that one of the neighbor kids was stealing from them.  They had some American Girl Dolls they asked for that just stayed on the shelf.  The older one got a Holiday Barbie from her Godfather every year that just went up on a shelf.  They asked for a few other stuffed animals over the years but those pretty much just sat not being played with either.  Once they started school they were always glued to the video games & later when it became more common they stayed on their computers most of the time.  One is now a Physician's Assistant but unfortunately the other suffers from anxiety because she wasn't the golden child.  They're both sweet women now but I ache for their not having a more imaginative & creative childhood.  I guess it didn't help that they moved away before they ever started school so we didn't get to spend a lot of time with them over their formative years.  

Guess we should let this thread go back to Castle discussion now.

Lego would normally just give us 8 figs and save a lot of money/price on the set. Off course it would be a lackluster set when minifigs are the main thing and we only get a few so 16 make more sense then. However 2 identical of a lot of the figs is possible as are 1 female and 1 male of each fig, but it is strange. And what about Fabuland a animal crossing head or a new fabuland head on a minifig body? This do not make much sense so I guess I need to see it before I understand the reasoning behind it

I have it from a fairly reliable source that one of the CS astronauts is a shade of turquoise (teal) and the other is one of the azures, so they’re not both the same.

I’m guessing - not based on any particular info - that there’s only one warm gold one and that the fourth spaceman is either a different colour or space themed but not from the CS era. It just seems that in a prize machine, it would be more fun to have a variety of colours/styles with no two minifigures the same.

You got me really really excited!!!

For a moment, I even thought that "one of the azures" could even be the missing bright light blue. But thinking about it more, it could not be...as that was originally planned for the canceled Dreamzzz set so they could not possibly feature it twice in the same year.

What could this fourth space fig theme be??? What sub theme have they not yet remade? M:tron, Blacktron, Classic Space, Insectoid from Galaxy Squad, Exploriens, Ice Planet, Spyrius, Unitron, Space Police, Futuron, Alien Conquest, Life on Mars, Mar Mission?

WOW, i absolutly love the castle figs, the pirate figs are nice as well, my only complaint is that they not printed the griffin heraldry on the torso, but over all well done LEGO.

Thats going to be an expensive BAP order with all these great new figs lego is making,

Interesting take on the kraken knights, which seem more like kraken bandits, that come out of the water to raid your ship - also interesting choice to give one of them a whip. Nice that both factions got shields that aren´t that common in the castle theme, both look really great. What I really dislike however is the helmets they used for the griffin knights.
