We’ve obviously had both before without being specifically released as Arctic, so what would be the difference? A big snow plow front? Alaska style freight train. Likely orange and darkblue. The 2022 passenger train has not retired, and the red tram is also for passengers. Instead, the 2022 cargo train did retire , while the 2018 cargo train actually got way extended and is still available. (and actually has an Arctic snowmobile from the previous 2018 arctic theme) Edited February 15 by TeriXeri Quote

I would take the snow plow front as granted, and the same colour sheme as the recent exploration Sets as likely. I would hope for a frozen Mammoth and sabretooth tiger as cargo, like they did in the 2018 Arctic Wave - just updated versions of them. Quote
Yoggington Posted February 18 Posted February 18 (edited) Just to throw this out there, has anyone considered this is an 'overland train'? i.e. not running on tracks. See these old school arctic trains for example: https://www.hemmings.com/stories/54-wheel-drive-the-letourneau-electric-arctic-land-trains-that-put-australian-road-trains-to-shame/ Similar to set 60378 (Arctic explorer truck & mobile lab) with extra carriages. SpacePolice89 Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I really hope that it's a real train. Maybe with some sort of snow removing equipment in front of the locomotive like 4533? Quote

Instead of a base set, they had a mobile unit that could be taken from place to place in the arctic instead of being stationary - which imo, feels more realistic that the base from 2014. Quote
Brick900 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 (edited) Anyone notice how much the F1 truck set looks just like the LEGO truck from last year except recolored? Edited February 19 by Brick900 Changed Ferrari to F1 Quote

icm Posted February 19 Posted February 19 That truck is not Ferrari branded and neither car is in Ferrari colors. You can't blame me for not knowing this was the set you meant. It is, definitively, not a Ferrari truck. Quote

I wouldn't say it looks just like it... the opening sides of the trailer are structurally similar, but the trailer as a whole has different dimensions, different exterior detailing, and some important internal build variations to allow cars to roll in and out easily, and the cab is completely different. I don't think the similarities of the opening sides are by any means a deal breaker—when something works there's no reason to throw it out, especially when you're making changes to everything else. Klaus-Dieter Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) According to a common source: 60473 The City Tower (D2C) - June release Since there won't be any civilian set (which is really disappointing) in this year's regular summer wave, this is really good news! 👍 Since it's "still only" inside the City (and not the Icons) theme, I wouldn't await too much: Maybe two shops on the first floor, a doctor's office and a regular office on the second floor, apartments on the third and fourth floor and a TV news studio on the fifth floor? And the base being 16x32 studs including sidewalk and a small park? And there could be around ten minifigs? What do you think? Edited February 23 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

I've been guessing ever since the information came out that the 60380 set is going to be retired. Quote
LCP Posted February 23 Posted February 23 And I think it's a set that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Lego City series. Quote

Hope it could be similar to the Ninjago City Sets, full of references to older sets. Finally something to cheer up this boring wave. Hope we still get a few more sets revealed. Haven't we always gotten a September set that isn't a advent calendar? Quote
Izzynufc-2 Posted February 23 Posted February 23 It’ll be interesting to see how tall the building is, it could be 60365 but doubled in size Quote
Lemerbrix Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Ok, this D2C city tower building BETTER make up for us being starved of buildings this year, I’m definitely more of a “buildings” guy than a “vehicles” guy, with exceptions being speed champions and action/adventure theme Vehicles. I also hope that this building will take a few notes from Lego friends and have different architectural styles and not just be a big, blocky building. That was one of the reasons I disliked the city downtown set, was way to blocky for the sake of being modular. Quote

Powered by Bricks Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 (edited) 18 minutes ago, LCP said: Wouldn't there be an Arctic theme or a train theme? It will be a artic theme for sure. It sells well, train theme will appear in 2026, as 60198 and 60337 are still in production and shelves until the end of the year. Since 2023 we get a late summer set: 2023-60367 2024-60423 2025:60468? The Tower will be 60473 but it's a june release. Finally something interesting from this wave, the single building and, a lot of vehicles dont make up for a banger summer. Some good sets, but not for me. The fact some sets deserve a remake and still haven't got those. As for a police station-Most of the current sets don't match the color scheme of the current station, also too small and roadplate-based. Hospital-Many new vehicles, but no building to match. Airport-Many planes but no actual airport since 2016 (or 2010) Space Rocket Launch Site- 2022 had one, with the rest being focused on the planet, landscape to explore. It's just ONE set (missing) ! 2 consecutive years with few buildings is awful. And discontinuing buildings sets without a sucessor is even worse. Don't Waste Your Potential LEGO!
