The Tower will be 60473 but it's a june release.

Finally something interesting from this wave, the single building and, a lot of vehicles dont make up for a banger summer. Some good sets, but not for me.

The fact some sets deserve a remake and still haven't got those.

As for a police station-Most of the current sets don't match the color scheme of the current station, also too small and roadplate-based.

Hospital-Many new vehicles, but no building to match.

Airport-Many planes but no actual airport since 2016 (or 2010)

Space Rocket Launch Site- 2022 had one, with the rest being focused on the planet, landscape to explore. It's just ONE set (missing) !

2 consecutive years with few buildings is awful. And discontinuing buildings sets without a sucessor is even worse.

I’d be very intrigued to see how the airport and hospital would look like with all the modern pieces and modern designs city have now gone for.

I would be very interested in a 6 stud wide plane nose piece similar to that we got on the last 2 passenger planes. That could replace this piece.

And have a smaller passenger plane included in a airport set to give more focus on the airport. Not the other way around like they did it 5 years ago.

Yeah that was kinda dumb of them. Don't get me wrong, I love the way the vehicles look. But I kinda miss the former designer for City sets because we got more buildings. 

What do you think about them bringing in designers of Friends and Creator 3in1 to help this guy out?

Well there are a few designers that have been in the team for quite some time. And there is one designer that works on both City and Friends. If 2026 disappoints. We definitely (but partially, gotta remember this is for kids and tested with children) need new designers.

One thing they can definitely change without a doubt is the default type of wheels we've seen in every single vehicle this year, that isn't either 4+ or an offroader.

If anything, do what they did way back with creator. We had 3in1 and Expert. City could have more range as a theme. City Diorama  projects are everywhere nowadays and many people look for sets they could add to their city. If city ever does a "City Expert" line they would have great sucess!

Anyway, the Friends series designer contributed to producing some of the sets of the City series. His name is David Tauzia.

Curious what a tower set like that will contain—stores, apartments, offices, etc. I don’t expect it to be modular-quality but it still sounds like an interesting set.

Yeah I'll admit that I am not a fan of the new splashes on City vehicles. My preference goes to the older ones from the mid 2000s to the early 2020s. I do wish they got a better design team.

I, for one, am loving the quality and selection of the vehicles from City for the past couple of years. But I agree that there haven't been many City buildiings lately.

The sets he designed were all related to the civilian except for 60434, 60462.

The 2022 passenger train has not retired, and the red tram is also for passengers.

Instead, the 2022 cargo train did retire , while the 2018 cargo train actually got way extended and is still available. (and actually has an Arctic snowmobile from the previous 2018 arctic theme)

I didnt know the 60336 did retire... I still dont have it, and probably won't. :(

I like all his City sets. I never knew that the same guy designed those sets. He should design more City sets.

60466 is being labeled Yellow Bulldozer With Front Loader. A Bulldozer and Front Loader are two separate construction machines, so which could it be? In 2024 when they released the Construction Steamroller, that was incorrect as it was a Road Roller.

60448 Sports Car is probably my favorite small set of 2025 so far, really impressive model and amazing shaping , and looks better then many similar 6 wide speed champions of the past.

Also the newer transparent black just looks nice, and the contrast with the black plates and clear headlights is nice.

Box and product pictures just make the car look a lot more compressed , while it's actually quite long and sleek.

And if less studs are desired, you can still add 1x3 red tiles to the sides.

Funnily enough it's the only 2025 set I've got.

I admit it's a nice model but I have to admit the new wheels feel out of place, great for trucks and large vans but not for small cars. Most of the new vehicles feature the same frame besides being very different from each other.

To me my favourite set out of the wave is the Scrapyard.  The vehicles had me sold.

My favorite 2025 great vehicles has to be the mobile doughnut shop. I always thought it was kinda cool how from 2024 onwards, food trucks can be either a stationary shop or a food truck, which started with the burger truck. I hope that is actually a permanent thing because I think its kinda neat.
