Powered by Bricks Posted March 27 Author Posted March 27 Weird mix of things, remove the garages and ramp off the main building and it would be better. It's clear this is the same bloody thing as they did 5 years ago with the Main Square, a huge set based off their series. I don't think it's bad but the mix is goofy. I'm just curious as to what the middle building is. 1 minute ago, Powered by Bricks said: Weird mix of things, remove the garages and ramp off the main building and it would be better. It's clear this wave is focused on giving sets that fit well in the series and the values, action vehicles, and the least of buildings possible. The 2024-5 wave is 50-50 some amazing sets like the Lego truck and some not so good sets like the no limits ramp. Also both of the No-Limits sets feature a somewhat New-York Style design, right? Lion King Posted March 28 Posted March 28 I like wht i see - a new pigeon mold! It’s perfect for my modular buildings. Time to wait for pAB! Quote
Roebuck Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Leaked some info on a couple of the bigger arctic sets with focus on the builds, but at least there is a wolf den in one of them Quote

While a realistic large apartment building would definitely be more useful, this is a better celebration of the city theme. Quote

Not a reshaped dog. The train is somewhat disappointing but on the other hand it features more scenery and originality, which I'm curious to see. Fateful doesn't state that the train features motor and battery, instead saying it can be "connected to a remote control". Not sure what that means. Either way none of the powered up components exist anymore, so maybe there's another train set? Also maybe the tower can be rearranged, the ramp on the right doesn't seem to be trapped within the structure of the tower, possibly being removable, and I think the same about the garages, who knows? But the normal building looks pristine without a doubt. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 First thoughts on the tower: What? Just what? My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. No sale. Second thoughts: Pigeons and a subway car? Count me in! (I'll probably reverse-engineer the subway car from instructions and buy a flock of pigeons from PAB.) Still no sale, though! Quote

Lower structure is the exact same as the 2024 tram, it's easy to just copy the design of the shell. I seriously hope the wacky additions are removable. Hell I'll insert the garages in my stations and count them as expansions. The spaceship seems nice on the top, so I won't bother. If the d2c is a no limits set, dear god what will happen to the next airport? Quote

Because that one's already significantly larger than your typical Lego dog (four stud long footprint instead of three, and broader across as well). I don't think much bigger than that would really be appropriate outside of fantasy themes, since at that point you'd be exceeding the size of people and encroaching on the size of larger animals like horses. Yeah - there’s no way they will produce another mould for the wolf now either (though I do think the current one should be one plate taller … then it would fit better against existing dogs, sheep, big cats and bears) Quote
Izzynufc-2 Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I’d like to see different Lego dog breeds in city sets such as Dachshunds Rottweilers Newfoundlands Poodles Quote

karrit Posted March 30 Posted March 30 That City Tower looks like something out of Monkie Kid or Ninjago to me. I prefer real city type buildings rather than these wonky futuristic mash-ups. The center part isn't too bad but that spaceship up top is cuckoo. The garage facades are just yuck. And what is the point of the construction crane to nowhere? Quote

And what is the point of the construction crane to nowhere? I agree! I'd rather get an apartment, police station, fire station, construction site, space center and passenger train separate. Btw, the only point I see in the construction crane is the build the building. Edited March 30 by The Island Chronicles Quote
Izzynufc-2 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Anyone else thinking the Arctic Truck will have an American Style Nose? Quote
Vlado_sk Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) I see only one good point at City Tower - amount of pieces, good variety of them, so hopefully someone make something special on rebrickable from it! At least that bulldozer looks realistic and finally can count it to some new construction site Edited March 31 by Vlado_sk Quote
TeriXeri Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) 2025 Dozer set + 2024 Digger really could use a Rock Truck set in 2026, and maybe a new Wheel Loader in 2027 or something, to expand the heavy duty construction/mining setup they got going for that "elephant" logo brand. Edited March 30 by TeriXeri Quote
Powered by Bricks Posted March 30 Author Posted March 30 Why oh why does lego do a really realistic construction vehicle but a really kiddish building at the same time? (same goes to police [slightly] and fire) Quote
