Hyega Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) So I guess we will get 3 different subthemes in next year: 15th anniversary, Legends (Wave 2) and Dragons Rising (S4). . . ? Does it mean the return or restart of the Legacy line? Besides, I guess the 71849-71851 are the gimmick sets. Edited March 30 by Hyega Quote

I wonder if next year is still going to be Dragons Rising or if they're going to move on to a different story arc. IIRC Dragons rising is a planned 5 year story so it'll still be dragon's rising. I imagine it'll end with whoever Raz calls master rather than the F5. Quote

Lyichir Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Finished the Ninjago City Workshops yesterday! Really pleased with the end result. I'd seen some concerns about how well some of the functions worked but all of them work smoothly on my copy. Quote
GeoBrick Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Today I finished the Ninjago City Markets. I'm quite pleased with the look and functions, but I'm not a fan on the low number of attachment points some substructures have. The Borg Tower is the most glaring one, but Garrett's karaoke club isn't too 'attached' as well. Looking forward on how the Workshops build out. Got it delivered today. Quote
Rolyat24 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) Frak’s head has leaked, and I must say I’m disappointed. Unless the eyes end up printed, the eyes and hood/mask being the same color doesn’t work. Lego used to print on specialized heads all the time, but now they seem so opposed to it. For something like the wolf masks or even generic army building serpentine I’d say it’s fine. But for a figure like Frak who is a major named character, this feels lazy. This bothered me with Aspheera and I thought a new piece would have resolved the issue. Maybe children in testing don’t care about characters with pupils? Edited April 5 by Rolyat24 Quote
AD_Bricks Posted April 5 Posted April 5 This also makes me worried that we won't get a hoodless version of Frak, since his design in the show is one of those that's based on real pieces (in this case, the whipper head) but not in a way that can actually be made physically with existing pieces. Probably why we still don't have Geo, since his ears are borrowed from other headgear with elf ears but in a way that's not physically possible, and his hair uses mostly an existing piece, but braided at the back, making it similarly impossible to make physically. It seems to me like LEGO is generally opposed to producing things like this, something something redundant, something something capitalism. Past examples of this would I think be characters like Neuro or Gravis (hair and turban respectively), who were seemingly not originally intended to be physical minifigures, but in their cases it was justified by making Neuro not part of a mainline set, and with Gravis, by making him as part of a line of deliberately redesigned sets, but the point is, there was never any real way LEGO was going to make a new piece for, say, Gravis, that was an identical copy of the retired turban piece modified with his symbol on the front. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted April 6 Posted April 6 We also have our first 2026 leaks, it seems. Check ridexninjagoleaks2's account on Instagram. There are four minifigures—including Lloyd and Cole in dragon-esque outfits (with wings and tails), a mysterious hooded character with a white face and black-and-brown robes, and a weird green creature with a single eye, fangs, a ghost tail, tentacles, and a hat. Quote
mantax Posted April 6 Posted April 6 The new minifgures look very interesting, especially the green villain, all the plant like parts on them, makes it look like this season would be Jungle/forest theme, or just the villains have a plant theme to them. If this character is just a generic villain that comes in multiple sets, then that would be amazing, but I suspect that there would also be some more basic villains then that. On the other hand that hooded character feels a bit boring, until we get higher quality image, I can't fully judge the design. The ninja feel like some special versions, just like the 2022 Golden Dragon Ninja, since like this they could only pilot some very exposed vehicles,. But even with that these still should be the regular versions, as there are now 4 new ninja, and It's still unknown if Jay comes back to the team, so the vehicles here could be mostly for them, and then maybe one of the og ninja could get a bike. We also know set numbers for the January wave: 71849-71851 all $10 have to be the gimmick sets, 71861 and 71858 - $90 are both 14+, so they are most likely for Legends. So with that there are 6 regular sets for January. For which we only know that 71854 is $30, so 71855 - 71857 are most likely from $30 to $90. The prices for the top 3 sets are a bit tricky, as there are some missing numbers. So I expect that 71866 is the same as the Dragonian Storm Village, with a higher set number, but a lower price and piece count, the reason for that, is this set most lkely being a Lego Store exclusive. The information is limited, so that's all that I can really say about this sets for now. Quote
Renny The Spaceman Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I wonder what they'll actually do for the 15th anniversary stuff. The two 14+ ones are probably gonna be a UCS Bounty and Monastery but I feel most of the iconic older sets were already redone with Legacy. Quote

Rebooted, Skybound and the Oni trilogy are now around the same age the first seasons were when the 10th anniversary legacy sets hit. Also Zane was the only Ninja to get a remake of their Possesion vehicle. Quote

A good point though the other Possession vehicles were pretty forgettable, I can't really see a remake of the Jay Walker One or Cole's bike. I think all of those seasons have pretty forgettable and generic Ninja vehicles bar Zane's mech and given how LEGO doesn't like villain or location sets that definitely leaves less options. Wasn't there a planned Legacy wave that was scrapped pretty late for Core? Could those be repurposed? Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Another figure leaked for 2026, looks completely different from the other two villains—this time it's a dark tan / tan / dark grey sand rhinoceros beetle guy. Has new claw moulds, and a new headpiece. Overall, I have no idea what's going on with Ninjago in 2026, but I am really looking forward to all the weirdness after the, frankly, mediocre Summer 2025 wave. Quote

hikouki Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Do people think Ninjago will survive beyond 2026? Now that MK is ending? and I wonder if there will be another large D2C. Just bought the last two. Quote

It will survive, in one form or the other. If Dragons Rising ends, they'll just do another series. We also have the live-action movie that's coming down the line. Rolyat24 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 It is pretty wild that we’re seeing 2026 leaks already, even before the summer sets have been revealed. Do we know where these are from? Someone mentioned that one of the villain figs looks like Clouse. The other two are pretty monster-like. Maybe we’re getting a monster fighting season? Something like Ninjago x Scooby-Doo? I do love the dragon designs for the ninja, I hope all of the ninja get this treatment! Quote

Agent Kallus Posted April 17 Posted April 17 The first 10 episodes of DRS3 are on Netflix now here in Japan. I haven't watched any of it yet as I've been busy. Quote
mantax Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I just saw the 10 episodes of s3, and while not perfect it was still such an amazing first part of a season. As someone who isn't really a fan of PIXAL, the plot with her and Zane might have been the best part here. Rapton being there also helped to make it even better. I was worried on what they would do with Morro's character, but his role in this part was done really well. The action scenes here were spectacular. There were plenty of unique battle scenes, and the final part was especially great. The Dynamic between Wyldfyre, Kai and Nya was just so much fun , they just complement each other really well. The same I can say about Ras and Arin. But there were still some problems with this season, first being one character that was gone for nearly all of this part. A big problem was with the Forbidden Five, as some members didn't get too much time to shine. One even did shine but in a wrong way, but for me personally that did make me like them more. Also this made the whole situation with Kur even more wild. I don't feel the need to write any spoilers here(also I just noticed that the hide spoilers feature is most likely gone), so with that I'd just say that I can't wait on what could happen in part 2. Lemerbrix Posted April 19 Posted April 19 (edited) yeah, the season was pretty good! Edited April 19 by Lemerbrix 404: quote not found Quote
Lyichir Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Not watching the new season yet (I like to build while I watch, and I already built most of the current Ninjago sets I plan to get, so I'll probably wait until the summer sets are out). But I'm glad people seem to be liking it, gives me something to look forward to later. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Some higher quality images of the Legends green dragon have shown up in usual place. It looks absolutely stunning, though seemingly (and unsurprisingly) very static. Quote
