You have to use 48496

Thus:

It's a nice usage for the part that I don't use often.
Thanks for the tip.

Btw, I don't remember much of a discussion around this piece, maybe because it appears in a SW set?

Such a part would be interesting, and bricklink already lists it! That's pretty cool! I guess it was not just made for that SW set.

It's actually the only way to add a X hole above a beam, flip-flop or not.

Occupying that space, obviously.

I was hoping for a generic / fantasy space rover to join the ones we had last year, but there's actually a company called Lunar Outpost and they have this vehicle. I guess we'll see the return of the Apollo LRV wheels.

Looking at the vehicle, check the tires...they are basically 42181 Lunar vehicle tires....:)

You mean 42182? That's the set I was referring to :)

Apparently the official collaboration with Lunar Outpost is confirmed by LEGO, I wonder if they'll have something for City, too.

I can't figure out why they used a 1x5 M beam at the rotor intead of a 1x1 M one like in 42057...

Probably to make it a little harder for the blades to fall off.

Because if a kid would push the helicopter really fast on the floor the rotor blades would fall out due to centrifugal force.

Thanks for the answers! I wouldn't have thought about the blades falling out.
