IMO, it's funny that the weakest part of the Jet Pack guy is his jet pack. It's such a simple and unexciting build. You'd think they'd make an awesome new non-Star Wars jetpack piece for him.

His helmet is awesome though.

Just like Starwars : a small build and some soldiers/knights /peasants /outlaws.

Castle fans want to army build.

The issue with battle packs for Castle is that the parts that would be included are available on PAB fairly inexpensively and in whatever quantity is desired (a knight with a sword and shield runs about $4.10 average), so a $15-$20 set with four Minifigs (and less customisability, since the heads, helmets, and weapons are the same in each copy of the set) does not really feel like a great deal.
The only way for Castle battle packs to work is if they introduce a new torso and/or leg piece for each faction, feature armour/helmet/weapon recolours, and include a horse with barding. Animals are usually rather expensive on PAB, so a $20 set with a horse ($5 on PAB, not including barding) and some recolours and new prints would make a great starter set for Castle fans and army-builders, with the new pieces showing up on PAB a few months later for the more serious army-builders.

I was personally hoping that we were going to get the double-stud neck bracket piece in black (as we really need that part recoloured out of clear!); the single-nozzle jetpack looks rather weak compared with what I thought we were getting (the same brickbuilt design, but with two nozzles).

They've clearly just ripped the images off of the leaked leaflet. But it seems LEGO has given LAN the official ok to share, so maybe they'll, y'know, release actual pictures sometimes soon.

Agree

Its kind of weird that they let them post cropped versions of a leaked pic

I think it was found in a shop? If so I believe pictures are fair game 🤔

I think the "found in a shop" story was bs

Those were definitely taken from the factory

It doesnt make sense that at this point that they are the only person who "found" them on stores. And on top of that, it was not said where that store is

The pictures even included the box that was in pristine condition, flat-packed, without any glue applied for the side flaps. It was obviously taken from the stack of boxes before any parts were put in.

I'll be ordering one full set through my LUG connection. I'll be buying ones I want more than one of if/when I find any in stores eventually. There are too many in this batch that one will be more than enough for me so this is just an average series to me.  The Longboarder, Cupid, Hamster & Jetpack Racer don't really do anything for me so I'll be good with just one of each of those. Of course if I find them at 1/2 off like the D&D ones some extras of the Toy Collector & Cat Lover may be bought for parts as I'd love more than one of each of the plushies & the new cat.  I like the Astronomy kid but (no offense to the disabled) the prosthetic arm kind of ruins it for me, I hope the print from that torso turns up elsewhere.  My favorites are definitely the Wolfpack Beastmaster, Pirate Quartermaster & Steampunk Inventor so I will be seeking multiples of those.

I think for me, as time and series go on, I find them more polarised. That might be fatigue of some archetypes, for example the routine animal costumes, and City ‘kids doing things’ figures I almost dismiss on sight. That said, some of the historical and fantasy figures seem so much better, and they definitely do so much better with animal accessories these days.

I would say that the inclusive elements like prosthetics, cochlear implants etc are one of the things that *does* elevate a City figure for me.

I don’t think protesting arm “ruins” the astronomer kid.  I truly appreicate that this character has disability (NOT disablED, mind you….). It’s clear that Lego wants to include different disabilities to represent kids with disabilies in real world. I’m deafblind and I appreicate a dog grooomer’s hair mold that has cochlear implant.  I found some AFOls’ comments offensive that the cochlear implant “ruined” the dog groomer’s haiir piece for their own uses.

I’m sure protestic arm will show up in other sets / CMF series. Same for cochlear implants (not printed ones).

I will collect every minifigure from Series 27 for my collection but I will buy a few extras for my modular city like Pterandon costume fan for Natural History Museum, Boogeyman for kid’s bedroom, Cupid for Parisian Restaurant, Cat Lover for random apartment.

You can always change the arm for a regular one.

I didn't say it ruined the figure, I said it kind of ruins it for me.  I'm not trying to offend anyone.  Heads & hair are easily swapped, arms, legs & hands are not.  I really like the print on the torso but I don't like mismatched parts on any of my minifigs with the exception of Captain Redbeard & similar "fantasy" pirate figs that have the hook or pegleg.  It's a me thing not a bias against disabilities.  The M-tron in the space CMF's with the mismatched legs & arms bothered me for the same reason as the astronomy kid does. I like right & left sides of my minifig torsos & legs to match.  I simply don't like when they do two different colored or shaped arms or legs on any minifig torsos or legs.  The Space Minifigs in this year's City Space subtheme that have two different colored arms bother me also so I won't buy the extra torsos from PAB for that reason  I guess that's why Chima & Nexo Knights never appealed to me.

I don't like to possibly destroy/mutilate any of my minifigs by trying to swap legs, arms or hands.  And in some cases it isn't possible to get a right and a left side that match for the arms or legs anyway.

Repeat popping out of hands and arms could lead to damage, but if you're just looking to do a one time replacement you should be ok.

I've been popping out hands, arms and legs since I was a kid though and never had anything crack as a direct result of that. Some arms and torsos have cracked over time inexplicably, and the worst that can come of swapping legs is that they could be a bit loose.

For all we know right now, the astronomy kid could have a plain white arm with a new hand insert - swapping hands is the easiest of all.

“Ruining figure” and “kind of ruins it for me” are quite similiar. But thank you for clarifying - I agree with you that mismatched arms, hands & legs can be difficult to swap not like heads and hairpieces. For me, I like mismatched shapes or colors based on arms and legs. I love mutant black torn from Seires 26. Anyways, thanks for claryifng - No hard feelings here.

Little off topic, I never like the colors mistmaching with minifigure’s yellow tone. For example pizza delivery guy from older series have horrible printing. I wish his arms would be dual matched, rather than painted. Same for fitness instructor from Series 25 (look at her toros and head).

Seeing the title of the Brickset article made think we'd finally have nice crispy fresh proper official images. But no. Nothing new, incredibly strange move from TLG to let Lan put out such crappy quality images, if they were happy for Lan to show pictures why not give them nice ones :cry_sad:.

My lady of the Medieval Blacksmith set has both cracked arms. :pir-cry_sad:The set was on display on a shelf in a room without sunlight. It just saw it when I was cleaning dust.

The really weird thing is that high quality images of the F-1 series box just dropped today. You’d think it would be time for series 27 as well.

Same here. I occasionally swap arms and,  as I prefer fleshie figures, I swap lots of hands. Never had an issue. But I very rarely swap legs from hips, partly as it tends to break the little nub on the hips and they are then forever wobbly or not quite straight and partly as there is rarely the need as legs tend to match the hips.

Are they not all the same except colors? Must be the cheapest CMF to make in many years, but I assume they want premium pay anyway. Maybe the kids will love them or else these will stay on shelf's forever:tongue:

Colors and some very basic prints. And given that series 27 is on par with previous numbered series mold wise, Spiderverse better use the leftover mold budget to knock our socks off in September. Give us the pregnant belly torso, Lego, we know it’s in the budget after this.

I want a pregant belly toros too!

This would ideally be a neck attachment (similar to a backpack), not a new torso mould, as that allows the part to be more useful overall and enables us to get a non-pregnant version of Spider-Woman’s torso!
