I'm less concerned about the scale of the Batmobiles being uniform if they look good (in this case it's an unequivocal yes), and more annoyed that some come with display plates with vehicle info, some don't, and others just get whatever it is that this one comes with. "Batman Forever" lol.

Just design them in the smallest form factor possible while still looking like the car from the film/show it comes from. Some can be done well at a minifig scale (BTAS, '66, etc) and some can't (The Batman one doesn't look like the one from the movie). Glad they wen't with this size here, I don't think they could've done it justice much smaller.

I genuinely wonder who among us (or even worse, parents and other casual buyers) loves Batman Forever, of all DC movies, so much as to buy a 100€ display model of the ugliest Batmobile ever, including but a single minifigure!

(Because it's not like if anything, Batman Forever is known for its villains, no no no, that's crazy to think.)

The audacity to include the Jim Carey Riddler logo on the stand but not him is an actual minifigure is astounding.

I have a family member who loves this film, they're super nostalgic over it. They totally were into the idea of this set when I described the original rumours of it, they saw this and couldn't care less. Literally the prime audience but they're not gonna spend a hundred quid on a set without even the Riddler

No-one. It's not even Batman and Robin, which is so-bad-it's-funny, it's just... mediocre. As you say, the one memorable part of it is the villains, and they aren't even present.

They spent the entire budget on the torso print and helmet recolor. Arkham will as a result only include stickers and re-used figures (It's just 5 copies each of batman and joker)

TBF, he could stand to spend some time fighting his own personal demons. Lord knows he has enough of them.

The Batmobile looks good for what it’s supposed to represent, but the set itself is disappointing. Hopefully Arkham will be this year’s skyline: a great set in a disappointing year. 
 

I am interested to see the recolored cowl used on the BvS armored minifigure.

Still not very accurate. Whether the new cowl is better than type 2 or not is more of a personal choice. The old cowl with custom-chopped ears would've been perfect, but I don't think chopping is a good idea

First of all, I understand your point about the Forever Batmobile being ugly (it rather is), but I could argue that it does have its charm and looks very much Batman, besides, there have been worse Batmobiles - just check out this abomination. Second, you forgot about the #realisetheschumachercut fanatics - I do think there are Lego fans among them. So, yes, some people (not me) will definitely acquire this weird set

 

By the way, is it a fact that Arkham is going to be comic-based?

[s]So, this is 100% a pipe dream, but it’d be great if we could get some building sets similar to the new Spider-Man city sets they’re getting over at Marvel. Sure, a Flash Museum, Lex Corp, and Daily Planet are not happening anytime soon. But maybe a GCPD or a Wayne Tower. [\s]

Unless Arkham is a straight modular building that actually looks good and has a solid amount of figures- and sells well-, I unironically do not think this theme will see another batcave at anything beyond 4+ scale.

I think there’s a good chance if Arkham flops that Lego takes a break from DC for a while.

For years now the only reason it hasn't been turned into a subset of Icons is that the 4+ sets still appear to do well.

But we don't have the budget for a new torso print, so it's shadow box alfred's head and hair on an unprinted torso and legs with an explanation in the instruction manual that this is meant to represent robin.

if you look back at the theme for the last 14 or so years,  the amount of sets we get is steady year on year, with some spike in sets released in certain years  sad but true. 

also I can see another batacve released Down the track.  It's Batman people. 

The dumbest thing Lego could do is release nothing at all.

Isn’t the superheroes license linked? So if they cancel DC they would cancel marvel which they obviously won’t do for years. 
I do think we will get a bat cave with the brave and the bold movie

I wouldn't think so. considering the two are owned by different companies. They would probably just rebrand marvel as it's own theme.

It actually seems like Lego has already done that it lists Dc and Marvel as different themes on it's website and they dropped the superhero lable from the boxes in 2019
