Pretty sure it’s Peter’s apartment, at least that’s what leakers said a while back. The door doesn’t make a ton of sense, but someone here suggested there may be a balcony that can be added on.

An idea of an X-Men set for the mini-modular New York: an arcade. It could be in the $54 price/size range, and come with Jubilee, Sunspot, Wolverine (it is inevitable) and Bastion.

The OsCorp set side buildings also seems to be modular, so it will be possible to mix up the Spider-Verse bodega and Peter's apartment with it in various ways.

Use masking tape or get a couple of spares.

Before June 1st. Likely sometime after May 15th.

4+ Batmobile, system scale Batmobile, and a large display set (probably a Batmobile).

does the same go for the galactus set being put on the lego website? I assume it'll be earlier than the d2c since it's a regular set

Yeah, I remember years back when these D2C sets were unveiled a month in advance. Then it became half a month. Now, with things like The Shire, it’s a week. In five years time, I predict Lego won’t let you know the set exists until at least month after you’ve bought it.

Lego officially acknowledges the set when it retires.

Yeah, I’d assume it’d be added to the website by May 1st.

If they don’t reveal the set until after it retires, a lot of people will miss out on it. Which means there will be a lot of demand on Bricklink and not a lot of supply. Prices will skyrocket. And who gets a cut of all Bricklink sales? Lego.

Well the set comes out June 1st

So now that 6160 figures are on the table thanks to Oscorp’s Green Goblin….

I’d say that Iron Lad has a pretty good chance at being either in the next Hall of Armour or the next Iron Man mech minifig.

I could also see Ultimate Cap being a figure if they do another mech for him.

Winter Soldier/ Wolverine, as much as he’d be cool, would be very hard to slot in a set casually like other characters could be. His design is so distinctive from your standard X-Men set.

It would be nice to expand the mini-modular New York sets to other superheroes beyond just Spider-Man. Although given the severe lack of X-Men villains in Lego at the moment I'd much prefer getting Mr. Sinister first before Bastion. Hopefully Lego can also give us Mystique and Apocalypse next year for Avengers Doomsday and X-Men 97 Season 2.

I just finished the first volume of USM and enjoyed it a lot (Though while I like the idea of taking away the heroes, and think USM itself is very well done, I have some big issues with the overall universe, especially how out of my top 5 characters, only two have been adapted well- Peter and Matt, short as his panel time is. Frank is missing AFAIK, Marc is gone with his moniker being used as a shell by Black Panther villains, and they just straight up made John a single-issue Red Skull goon, which is the ultimate disrespect to the character.) honestly I wouldn't be upset with getting the actual USM spider-man, maybe alongside a more accurate olive-colored 6160 goblin. Even just a bearded head on a Peter Parker in the next modular or something.

For Iron Lad, I'm not sure- the Halls of Armor tend to be MCU suits. Mechs aren't too unlikely for both him and Cap, though.

Wolverine I think has a fair shot given people are really resonating with the design and since they're fine throwing 6160 goblin in a standard set (where it seems like he's actually meant to represent Norman), I think they'd be fine throwing ultimate wolverine in a Sentinal set or something. Though I'd rather have the prints used for a new X-man anyway, like Nightcrawler or Jubilee.

Midnight Mission. I just finished the Jed McKay run of Moon Knight- at least up to "The Final Days of Moon Knight"- and it would be such a cool mini modular. Lego could put literally anything they wanted in the interior and it'd be technically accurate. We could finally get a comic Moon Knight alongside longtime avenger Tigra. And you could even re-use prints for supporting "civilians" who are still interesting and combat-viable characters like his receptionist Reese or his assistant Soldier. (I feel like Hunter's Moon is unlikely given he'd require a full set of new prints and is still pretty obscure/seen as moon knight's "sidekick" for lack of a better term, but we're never actually getting the mission anyway so we'll throw him in.)

Following Thunderbolts*, I think it's a lot more likely that we'll see minifgures for this team in sets for Avengers: Doomsday.  Hoping for at least Red Guardian, US Agent, and Sentry minifigures since I already have minifgures for the rest of the team - although Winter Soldier and White Widow are the biggest names on this team and therefore the most marketable and merchandisable.

If Lego was really chill they'd have put the Comic Con set minifig of red guardian in polybag like they did with the kree captain marvel. But regardless he is a must for the Doomsday sets.

Yelena was definitely the lead character of the movie and she was great as the lead but I've never really though if her as the white widow, I mean she's not been called it and Nat wire white more than she did. What about Black with some dark green widow? Or just Yelena as that's what people tend to call her but in and out of universe.

I hadn’t even thought about how Mystique in Secret Wars ups the odds of us getting her as a minifigure.

Sabertooth is also supposed to be in X-Men season 2. Given how Lego seems to prefer Wolverine to the rest of the X-Men and how Lego is hesitant to go the bigfig route, I could us getting Sabertooth but not Apocalypse.

I hope we get everyone- Ghost and Yelena have very different costumes from their official figures, and like you say Bucky's one of the bigger names on the team so it'd be weird to leave him out.

Marvel themselves just call Yelena and John Yelena and John in most of the marketing, so I don't think even they see them as White Widow or USAgent.

Which is good- like you say, white widow makes absolutely zero sense. She mainly wears dark colors like Nat. And John is like one of my top 5 favorite marvel heroes just off Wyatt Russel's portrayal, but man, USAgent is a stupid name. That line Elaine Seinfeld drops at the end of TFATWS might rival "you gotta do better" or "what are those" for the cringiest line in the MCU.

Honestly they don't need codenames- none of the thunderbolts keep their identities secret or have family to protect who aren't already in the thunderbolts. Ghost's family is dead, Bob's family is either dead or hates him, Yelena's family is dead or on the thunderbolts with her (So same with Alexi), Bucky's family died of old age decades ago, and John's family left him. (And in the comics his crashout comes from the terrorists killing his parents rather than Lamar and his siblings are villains, so...)

I still can't believe we haven't had a wolvmobile yet. It seems so obvious of a move for lego.

I forgot Sabretooth is supposed to be returning for Season 2. He would pair perfectly with Wolverine in a cheap $10-15 set. I'm interested in seeing how they're going to approach Mystique's appearance for Doomsday. Will she keep her Fox look from the original trilogy, go full comic accurate like Wolverine and Gambit are or be some hybrid of the two?

While a big fig would be preferable for Apocalypse I could see Lego going another route for the character. A buildable figure like Surtur, a standard minifigure using Wrecker and Saw Gerrera's armor piece or the mech approach Ant-Man and Iron Patriot are using in the Endgame sets could be viable alternatives.

Either way I hope Lego starts prioritizing the other X-Men villains beyond just Magneto in the near future. Knocking out Mystique, Sabretooth, Apocalypse and Sinister next year would go a long way towards establishing a decent rogues gallery for the team.

What do you know, Lego finally realized that they should upload official images 2 WEEKS after someone found the set (in Azerbaijan of all places) and uploaded a detailed review of it on Youtube. And now that it's up on Shop@Home, I can get even more mad at the set after finding out it'll be 80 CANADIAN. That is absolutely insane, for that price the Silver Surfer should've been included without question as well as a brick built HERBIE. I know I've been waiting 12 years for a Fantastic Four set, but I don't know if I'm THIS desperate to buy it on day 1. I'm really hoping next year has a spot for a comic F4 set since they've met the "MCU set comes first" requirement now.

But now that official pics are up, I think I'm allowed to show my terrible 2 minute phone edit of what Ben looks like with Ultimate Axl's torso as my modification to make him more bulkier. Yeah, It's not even close to the right color, and I'm going to have to use an eraser to get rid of the bull logo, but it's easily the best solution I have for now besides buying a knockoff big fig. I gave him the regular blue legs with black dual molded boots because I always preferred the black/blue color scheme of the comic suits, and because dual molded boots don't exist in Medium Nougat for Ben's "feet":

I wonder if something could be done with the Hagrid torso and arms. I’ve never actually seen them in person so don’t know how the legs connect but could you maybe trim it down so it’s not as tall? A bit extreme maybe but it does come in medium nougat.

How much do normal construction figures go for in Canada?

Yeah... that's a tough compromise, but I think you're right that it's the best that can be done to get a larger Thing. Hopefully now that they've joined the MCU we can get a nice comic set with a bigfig Thing and accurate versions of the four.

Could work for Trenchcoat Ben.

Appreciate that in the marketing and in-universe, Yelena and John have not gone by their codenames in the MCU, but I personally prefer to give superheroes and supervillains their codenames.  It's an intrinsic draw to the superhero genre for me and makes the characters feel more iconic.  It felt very weird seeing the Fantastic Four labelled as their civilian names on the new LEGO set rather than their codenames - even though they are all suited up.

...You know, I never considered using his arms, specifically the ones from this Hagrid. I'm not sure if their pins will fit in the Axl torso piece but at first glance they just might. I wish they didn't stick out so much but I'm going to have to try this out, thanks for the idea.

I think I've seen them usually be around $30-45 Canadian. It depends for some of the figures that come with larger items like the Green Goblin figure coming with his glider that bumped the price up to $45 or the Batman figure with the Batpod that retails for $90. But for just the figures themselves I think they've always been in the $30-40 range.

I still don't think a bigfig Thing would be size accurate as well and that Lego should put some effort in to make that Mr. Incredible video game torso piece a reality, but I'll take a bigfig comic Ben like the one from the Mission Demolition special until a new torso type shows up...someday.

Reed's hair and beard does not look sufficiently brown on the fig, IMO. I think the newest Strange hair will look fine.

Agreed on the Jonesy head for Johnny. Anyone have suggestions to get rid of the "default woman" face they gave Susan?
