Dear LEGO® railway fans, dear BSBT fan community,

We look forward to seeing you again

be able to invite.

For the 7th time, LEGO railway fans from Germany and other countries are meeting to build a large community facility together. In addition, we also want to give individual systems or models their place.

As in previous years, we have access to the “Old Tram Depot Schkeuditz” (Rathausplatz 9, 04435 Schkeuditz) with a total area of around 700 square meters. We, the Leipzig LBRICK railway workers, work out a track plan that is as varied as possible in advance and provide the basic construction for you.

We are looking for LEGO railway workers...

...who enjoy networking and look forward to a lively exchange with one another

....that contribute a landscape to the community area. This can be a train station, a piece of open track (rail through landscape), a factory, a bridge or a tunnel, etc. It is important that it is built in such a way that other participant landscapes or free tracks can be connected to it.

... who want to let their locomotives run wild.

... who have built beautiful, realistic vehicles and would like to exhibit them or have them driven.

... who can bring buildings, accessories or suitable urban self-builds with them.

... with functional models or exhibits with lights, engines, etc.Interesting individual systems are also welcome.

The following points are required for your application:

• Your models are made from bricks from LEGO®. Other manufacturers are not permitted.

• When it comes to track material, motors, lights and other drive concepts, we are open to products from accessory manufacturers (trixbrix, fx tracks, sBrick, buwizz, etc.)

• 3D printing is possible as long as it serves a niche. (rail pieces, connecting rods, wheels, ...)

• In order to represent a wide range of building options with LEGO, we ask that you do not register any modules or rolling stock from purchased sets, but only your own builds!

• A good community facility needs train stations, industrial facilities and open routes. You can never have enough of the latter.

• MOCs without tracks, urban development and infrastructure enliven the facility and are welcome to register.

• Register your model with a detailed description, meaningful photos and, if necessary, a BBM file (Bluebrick - planning program to: https://bluebrick.lswproject.com).

• The minimum age for participants is 14 years. Children under 14 years of age can be registered as a minor accompanying a parent or legal guardian.

• The participation fee is 30 euros, accompanying minors pay 15 euros.

• Each participant should submit their own application, even if they arrive in a group with other participants (except for children of participants).

Organizational process

This year's application deadline ends on March 2, 2025.

! different than in previous years!

To apply, you must register yourself and your model with us HERE. We then select the models that we want to use for the community facility from all the registrations.

This year it is necessary that each participant registers individually. Community models can be registered by one person, all other interested parties then register without a model and refer to the person who has already described the model.

Please upload a few photos of your models when you register! If your model is to become part of the community facility, we also need the Bluebrick file for your model for planning. You can download the software for free: Bluebrick

If you have problems with Bluebrick, we can also work with meaningful photos.

Please attach this to your registration!

BBM files: Bluebrick – planning program: https://bluebrick.lswproject.com – please build the layout in one layer!

For applications with rolling stock, a few photos are enough.

You can find an integration of the Trixbrix track library in Bluebrick here: https://trixbrix.eu/en_US/i/Track-Planning/22

After receiving your completed planning forms as an application, we will select the models that are suitable for the community facility this year. If the submitted application has deficiencies, you have until March 31st. the opportunity to submit a correction later. The final acceptances and rejections are scheduled for the end of April.

Helpers for assembly and dismantling:

We are happy about every helping hand; about anyone who can support us with construction in the days before BSBT25 or with dismantling on the Monday after BSBT25.

Unfortunately, guest drivers are not possible:

As in previous years, the community facility will be created from many small, personal landscape pieces, which many people have built in their free time, some of which are very detailed.

There are some rules for using the facility that all participants must adhere to and which will be communicated in advance.

We therefore cannot organize that guest drivers can spontaneously drive on the facility. (i.e.: As visitors who just bring their own locomotive and drive around the facility.)

Participants who only bring rolling stock but are there the entire time are of course welcome.

We look forward to a wonderful railway experience with you! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email. Review of BSBT 2023:
