Hey everyone! I’ve been into town building ever since I started building, but I’m starting to feel like I want to try out Technic. I’m totally new to it though, and all the moving parts are a bit overwhelming. Any suggestions on any simple model I could start with?

Spoiler

Starting with Technic can be a bit overwhelming, but it’s great that you want to give it a go! A good way to ease into it is by building simple models like a basic Technic car or a simple crane. These models allow you to get a feel for gears, motors, and other moving parts without being too complex. The Lego Technic 42089 or 42093 sets are beginner-friendly and provide a solid introduction to the mechanics. You’ll find more info at the following link: https://www.filemail.com/d/ryvgrxjpaxtqnkd

I also want to know.

@Wildcat01 and @AdaStephen

do you guys mean "sets to build" or do you want to do your own creation?

Well, in both cases, I suggest posting that question in the Technic forum. This Community forum is for weird and otherwise forbidden stuff belonging to the dark side or nowhere (I post alternative brick related stuff here). I don't believe that many - if any - Technic experts visit here.

I for myself started some 20 years ago with these small "generic" Technic sets <$20 (back then), just to get into it. Even poly bags did it for me. And then things got bigger, but I never ever made even close to "experienced level" - because I like System so much.

Just my 2 cents, but - ask over in Technic, you'll get better advice for sure.

All the best and good luck
