Daiman Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) I'll post this here for now just for comment. I'm in the process of creating various elements for my eventual train layout based on eighties rural Australia. I think I mentioned it before but when I get around to starting the layout I will just post snippets in appropriate places then I'll start a follow post in Trains and just keep adding to it. First up a small excavator which I may well end up putting on a transport carriage of a train and second an old tractor somewhat discoloured in a mock up of a junky situation that will end up in the layout. P6tu Posted April 17 Posted April 17 This miniature excavator is a really spot on minifig scale mini thing =). The detailing is as fine as it could be and I really like it. I could really see it on a trailer of an SUV or something like that. This would even make a lot more sense in those official Lego construction sets instead of the toilets that they are always carrying around... Quote
FGMatt Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Love that digger! Can I ask what parts are used to make the corrugated panels on the container? Quote

Yes, that would be the “normal” one but the detail is much finer here. Quote
Daiman Posted April 23 Author Posted April 23 @FGMatt apologies Matt but the container is a third party item that i just used to get the feel of what I was after out of my head and yes detail is finer it has opening doors as well as one of the top panels. @higgins91 points for trying, thanks for dropping by. @P6tu Cheers mate and to think I didn't even design this one I just fumbled through parts like the old days, sure was a fun build. @The Undo Thanks! hopefully if the quality continues I shall have a great looking layout... Sebeus I Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Lovely models, I particularly like the colours on the tractor. Quote
Daiman Posted May 2 Author Posted May 2 @Sebeus I Thanks that's about the colour an old green tractor turns after around 60 plus years over here. I see them everywhere and so wanted to depict one in my scene. Quote
