Sérgio Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Hi everyone! My latest build is a replica of a draisine (we call it Dresina in Portugal)—a small railway vehicle used for inspection and light maintenance on train lines. The model is built in 1:45 scale and fully motorized using Circuit Cubes. The battery is cleverly disguised as cargo, hidden beneath a fabric LEGO tarp (part 69244 in dark tan), which was only available in set 75290 (Mos Eisley Cantina). This allowed me to integrate the power system without compromising the model’s realistic appearance. One personal touch: the "Mia" graffiti was hand-drawn directly onto the bricks using Posca markers. I wanted to give the build a bit of character and that lived-in, slightly gritty look often seen on real-life railway vehicles. Quote
bogieman Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Well done, very clever! Those circuit cube motors are amazingly powerful. Dave Quote
Feuer Zug Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Great little inspection car. The graffiti is well drawn. NPU with the cloak for the tarp. Quote

No. Not "particularly" - "including" the artwork, as your creativity in assembling plates and bricks is true artwork! With regard to the Circuit Cubes - the battery box they make is fine, but their rechargeable BL controller having the same footprint is so much more! Congratulations on another home run! All the best Thorsten Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted April 23 Posted April 23 @Sérgio every time you amaze us not only for the beauty of your models with incredible details but the context in which you put your creations is almost better than the model itself ... you are an artist! Quote
Daiman Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Lovely little maintenance vehicle. May have to build one myself. Quote
