This MOC is based on the N-1L from Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (2001). I was inspired to build it after rediscovering the game’s CD while unpacking from a recent move.

Given that the ship only appears as low-resolution 2D sprites in the game, I used a 3D model I had created during the pandemic as a reference.

In hindsight, the front profile could’ve used a bit more bulk, and I probably could’ve been more original with the engine design, especially since I borrowed elements from the Naboo Starfighter set in my collection. Still, I think I translated the design as best I could at the time. If I ever revisit it, I’d likely rebuild it from the ground up.

These days, I’m shifting toward designing more original vehicles rather than replicating canon or Legends ships—and I'm finding that direction far more creatively fulfilling.

Feedback is always welcome, and I’m open to suggestions—especially if you have any cool vehicle ideas you'd like to see built!

Very nice! Very smooth looking and sleek. It does appear that a bit of the beige/orange color is missing- I don't know the game so I might be wrong- I wonder if adding it could spice up the color blocking a bit.

For some reason the reference image I put on wasn't working. The orange colours in the game are colour markers to distinguish each faction, so it would be blue, red, green, ect...

I decided to make it that colour because it fits into the model more organically without completely removing it's presence.

I also based my 3D model off this image:
