I'm already working on reverse engineering this lovely little set. I see a bunch of recolors like 1x9 flip-flop beams or the 10197 connector in lbg. Driving ring in dbg is also pretty rare, previously used in the Kawasaki Ninja.

Can you create the part for the Bronco tire as well

New parts

6612 liftarm 1x9 alternative in LBG

Bucket

2477 liftarm 3x5 alternative in Yellow

87994 Bar 3L in Yellow

Maybe 2397 liftarm 1x7 alternative in Yellow

Rare parts

6632 liftarm 1x3 thin in orange - last release is 2023 (44 in 14 set)

2405 double side CV joint in LBG - last release is 2023 (2 in 1 set)

56908 43.2x26 wheel in Yellow - last release is 2011 (4 in 1 set)

32192 #4 connector in Yellow - last release is 2000 (2 in 1 set)

Oh I thought that is #3.

No, the arm itself is 2 studs above the axis of the LAs, same as the bucket. While the arm will rise, the actuator for the bucket will be pulled back, pushing the rod forward which connects to the bucket.

The axis of the two main-boom LAs aren't important here.

Yes, you are completely right. My fault! Thanks for your correction.

This mechanism is called "Z-kinematic" (at least in German).

This single piece is the reason I couldnt design my MB Zetros in yellow, even when there's a yellow 6L tow ball link newly available.

I'm fairly pleased with this one. Any set that I have to figure out what is going on with all the gears is a good sign for me. Plus, I feel like I need to purchase this to send TLG a message that construction vehicles still have a place in the Sub ~$400 Technic market.

Also, I'm happy to finally have a bucket sized between 28216/2951 and 32030.

Exactly!

There is one other bucket from 35 years ago: 2814

Yeah, I kind of ignore that one as I don't have it. But you are right, it is right in between those others in terms of size.

Is this set in 42175 scale to fit on the trailer or not?

Yes it's 15 studs wide so perfect fit for the trailer.

Progress is painfully slow on the build. But I'm already loving this set. Dozens of gears and nice functions in such a compact model.

Bucket would be 17 studs wide then, right?
Hard to gauge from the top view picture.

Looks like the fan favorite of the year to me! Seems to have 4WD with some piston engine, good steering, and the bucket functions. Great to see those tires become more readily available as well!

The 9L alternating hole liftarm should be great as well! This is the first time we've seen it in any color, right? Glad to see them moving beyond the 3+4x lineup for those

No, it was already used in the Bush Plane in white.

I think it's 16 studs wide, but can't say for certain. The 360° animations stops right where you could see the bucket face on.

Right, I remember that now! Man, I'm really not following Technic as closely as I used to...

I don't think there are pistons?  Just the "clutch" part that spins to represent an electric motor. (possibly 3 of them all under the back hood?  It kinda looks like they're all geared together, though maybe some represent the hydraulic pump and go to linear actuators)

Oh, you must be right! I just assumed that that's what the differentials would have to be driving, but you're right, it does say it's an electric machine right in the title!
