ChrisXY Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Hi, I have an expensive minifgure, where I can´t do experiments. But one arm is super loose. What can I do? All tutorials I have found are kind of weird; like putting paper into the torso or applying nail polisher...anyone has a good advice? Quote
SpacePolice89 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 The paper method is actually working. I remove the loose arm and put a very small piece of tissue paper between the arm and the hole and then click them together. The small piece of paper will provide enough friction for the arm to work normally. The same method works also fine for heads and legs. Quote
ChrisXY Posted May 3 Author Posted May 3 Doesnt work for me and as I plan to sell that figure, I need something more everlasting :( Quote
Murdoch17 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Nail polish remover / acetone will melt Lego, @ChrisXY. If you're gonna sell it, sell it as is. Otherwise it's bit shady to modify a figure just to sell it. Quote
MAB Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Nail polish, or a bit of acrylic paint, on the shoulder 'ball' joint usually works. But I agree with the above, if selling it just declare it and sell as is. Quote
AmperZand Posted May 9 Posted May 9 As others have noted, NOT acetone/nail polish remover. Gently detach the arm, apply a very thin coat of Humbrol Satin Cote to the male part (the shoulder ball), allow 24 hours to dry and gently reinsert into the torso. If it’s not stiff enough, repeat the steps above. You won’t be able to see the shoulder ball once inserted but even if you could, Humbrol Satin Cote is clear and has identical lustre to LEGO’s ABS. The trickiest aspect of using it is that you can’t see it going on as you apply it because it’s invisible, so there’s a temptation to put too much. Quote
