  • LEDs are permitted.
  • Electronics (PF elements, SBricks, Buwizz and Mindstorms) are permitted.
  • There is a limit of single battery box and four motors.

So is the use of 1x Mindstorms Inventor/Spike 6 port HUB, 4x motors & 2x LEDs permitted or not?

WHAT DO I NEED TO ENTER?
All participants need to create a discussion topic and create a post in the entry topic.

DISCUSSION TOPIC

  • A discussion topic starting with [TC29].
  • A discussion topic needs to show some actual progress (i.e. pictures of the build in progress) and should not be used to "reserve an idea".

Is a discussion topic required or is it allowed to only create a topic with a finished model? Showing a construction where ideas change doesn't necessarily seem like a good idea, besides, a MOC can be created comprehensively quite quickly.

One of the TC contests focus points is creating discussion on this discussion board so construction follow along build threads is a great way to achieve this… plus it’s just more fun as a spectator to watch builds progress. Why would it not be a good idea?

Exactly this! The contest is about showing progress and member participation.

That is correct.

I have a project that could work for the competition, but I dont know if my motivation to finish it will last so i feel bad about making a post then not finishing it.

Fair call. I have many unfinished TC entries so I understand that one… but best to try and fail… in front of everyone, right

Yes, i can agree. It's really important that you at least tried, and had a great and fun time creating the model:).

I have also history of starting my building thread and then not finishing the entry for the contest, either due to time constraints or technical difficulties. Nothing wrong with that and at least I learned a little bit each time.

I very much agree that posting a topic which shows progress throughout the project is important, if someone posts a finished model just before deadline without putting out any info on progress first, it feels somehow like cheating (even if it's not against the rules).

Completely agree with @howitzer there: sharing the building process and talking about it with the members is part of the fun. I also have several threads of unfinished TC entries.

In fact, that is the main idea, to show that building process, to have really activity here, not come out of Your cave,  and sow something ready in one post.
