LuxorV Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Hi there, I finally found some time to get back at mecha building. Being quite excited with the Agents theme, and having seen the great use of the villains' heads by Batbrick in IA, I decided to make a mech for Saw Fist. I started by building the big chain saw and the 'robotic' (well, this is already a mech, but the character is half human-half robot) arm. Them I completed the frame, as always in Exo-Force style, and added the details to make it look more alike the MF. Here it is Details are: the black 'poket' on the left upper leg the black tissue for the left side of the torso, and the grey 'metallic' plate for the right side, with the yellow Dr.Inferno's 'logo' the Dr.Inferno's logo on the back and the Two-Face's like bi-colored 'head', with lime green tracking sensor (like the MF's own left eye) MF only pic for reference Weapons include the giant chain saw and the left arm mounted double-cannon (guided by the already mentioned tracking sensor) I tried a new style for the knees and feet Comments and constructive criticisms are welcome. pr0visorak Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Great job Love the similarity towards the minifig Quote
Batbrick Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Awesome mech LuxorV, I love the orange/grey colour scheme mixing, certainly fits in with the cyborg aspect of the inferno team. Love the "robot" robot arm, those things are hard to dp, I know as I did one for iamded's mech, and you've succeeded very well here. Love the leg design it is very ingenious. My only criticism is the back which looks a little bare and undetailed, I'd love to see a little more on it. All in all though a great creation! Batbrick Away! Quote
zero1312 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Nice!!! I couldn't have done it better. Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Excellent!! Whoo!! Won't the agents have a field day battling that thing. Quote
LuxorV Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 Thanks everybody for the comments My only criticism is the back which looks a little bare and undetailed, I'd love to see a little more on it. That's right. I didn't know how to complete the back, and so I photographed it as it was. Now, I've found a good solution: I used technic half-pins to invert the studs' pattern, so I could add detail to the back with the few orange pieces I had left... I really need to buy more orange More angles in the same gallery as the original, as soon as public. Nice!!! I couldn't have done it better. That's high prise, coming from you Whoo!! Won't the agents have a field day battling that thing. Don't worry; as soon as I can get my hands on more Dark Blue pieces, I'll make an Agent Chase, or even Agent Trace, mech LuxorV Quote
mania3 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I love the knee joints on this mech. Also, as others have stated, the similarity between the fig and the mech make this a really cool design. Quote

Thanks, mania3 If you like this kind of mech, you can check my other creations in the Mecha folder in my BS account (link in the sign). Last year, I made mecha versions of some of the most famous EB members LuxorV Quote
