Joey Lock Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 A question for all you moccers out there, escpecially SlyOwl and the rest. What is the best way to pose figures and how to? Any techniques? Such as: Warhammer 40K is a good example How would you pose troops like this? Like a Commander standing on a hill with two pistols (In a cool way), firing at the enemy, as his men run over the hill and a Officer pointing at the enemy, How would you do that? Thanks Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 In most ways you cant. But you can cheat, I've seen SirNaroj do it before. Quote
SlyOwl Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Beyond the standard movements of the minifig, there are 3 main ways to get additional poses - Pnuematic tubing for arms (example) Removing the legs from the hips, and positioning them another way (example) Removing the arms from the sockets (can be held in with an elastic band sometimes) (example) You could also try brick-built methods, like the ones shown here. Hope this helps Quote

Hope this helps You searched my name on CC? For the classic minifigure, you can do a lot with the legs. You can turn them around to make a minifg "kneel" with both legs, or remove one leg and place it in front of the minifig while he sits on the other to make a "one leg kneeling" pose. Here's an example wich can be done by using the TTfig technique: kneeling A realistic sitting pose can also be acquired through this technique. I haven't tried the rubber band between arms technique, but I suppose these only work with older torsos? (without the inner frame) If you want to use realistic looking aiming shots or so, try removing one of the arms and placing it where it should be. It isn't attached to the body, but looks great! I'd suggest trying out different ideas to find the one you're looking for. I'll try to reanact the poses you have put here, and see how it'll turn out. :-) TT Quote
