Sir Dano Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) Nicknamed "Frosty" by her pilots, the BR-37 Aisu Koori Akanbou was introduced shortly before the first M:Tronian blockade of Krystos, in which it performed excellently, and is still in service today, seeing action in the Insectoid Civil War. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sirdano/3438807067/ http://mocpages.com/moc.php/111362 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=378401 Edited April 14, 2009 by Sir Dano Quote
Algernon Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) Impressive! Ice Planet 2002 is one of my favorite themes ever. Glad to see it's still getting some love. Edit: Insectoid Civil War? Feel free to elaborate. Edited April 13, 2009 by Algernon Quote
Sir Dano Posted April 13, 2009 Author Posted April 13, 2009 Impressive! Ice Planet 2002 is one of my favorite themes ever. Glad to see it's still getting some love. Thanks, Ice Planet 2002 is also one of my faves, and all the Neo Classic Space stuff made me want to build some MOCs of my childhood themes.Edit: Insectoid Civil War? Feel free to elaborate. It's a reference to Chrisposkst's latest MOC: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrispockster/3429824077/ Quote
Darth_Legois Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Nice! Very Neo Classic-Spacey I love all that stuff and the colour scheme looks great, works well too Although maybe some more trans-neon orange pieces at the back would be good. Other wise I love it, Love the weapons too Quote
mania3 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I just got a load of trans-neon-orange pieces from the PAB at Legoland today. Made up about 200 of my nearly 900 pieces I got for only $10. It reminded me of how much I loved this theme as a kid. It was great to see this MOC at the top of the Space forum. Great job! Quote
Batbrick Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 This is so great, Ice Planet to me will always be one of the greatest space themes. I love the excellent use of trans-orange, and the fighter jet look is pulled off real well. My only criticism is one I've faced every time with my own (inferior) space mocs, it looks a bit too much like a current plane than a future space ship to me. That said, by and large the use of colours and techniques really make this an ice planet moc to be proud of, excellent work! Batbrick Away! Quote
keetong Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I was to young to remember Ice Planet. I wish I could go back to the past and see these amazing sets. You MOC is beautiful. I've never seen Trans Neon Orange used as well as you do. Anyway great MOC. I should really get some Trans Neon Orange Quote
