Hello I was just wondering what type of camera is best for taking pics of Lego with because my dad is a professional photographer so he uses a professional camera to take pics of my creations with but whenever I look at other peoples pics they seem to be less fuzzy. I'm not blaming my Dad I just want to know what type of camera is better at focusing and all that stuff. Thanks!

I've recently been using my brother's digital SLR camera - it's very nice and I can take the photos from further back and zoom in (good if using the flash so the light is more dispersed). Very important though, and I only found this out recently, is to press a secret button for "macro" mode. Not only do I hold the trigger for it to autofocus, but it performs some different sharper kind of autofocus with this setting on.

I should really dig out a tripod though.

I asked this question in

this topic, because I did not want to waste money on either an unsuitable camera, or one that had features I was not going to use, and had some really good advice. The camera recommended is superb for the price.

Most any modern camera will do. It must have a macro (I don't think they make ones without macro anymore). From there on, it is more dependent on the photographer than on the camera. A tripod (or a very steady hand), suitable background and good lighting are the most important elements.

A good white background helps alot.

Any camera can be a good camera as long as it is set up right and it has the macro setting.

True, background can really mess up the model.
