Still Raindrop Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 So, I've made a few more MOCs and mods for Rossville. Please tell me what you think. First up is a four-piece blender. Sorry, Hinckley, not trying to outdo you in minimalism here--yours was just more Fabuland scale, and was too big for my classic town house. Here is the Colonel's popcorn stand The sports car set modified with doors some better-fitting wheels: And, finally, a new shot of the town hall. I've tried to give it a more complete feel, incorporating the fountain (which I also designed), some park benches, and the like. Quote
Fumoffu Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 That's a very clever blender. Scale is pretty good too. I'm going to make one for myself too now ... so simple but so clever. Quote
Milan Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Ingenious! I like it so much. very simple and very nice! Quote
Tom Bricks Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I love the mime in the last picture. Good job on the others too, the blender would have to be my favorite. Quote
BlueBard Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Great minimalist blender! And the rest of the updates are really nice too Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Colonel's popcorn stand, now that's some good stuff! Very nice creations, and a very diverse collection as well. - great building designs. A collection of the smaller creations would make a neat City/Town Creation Idea Book. Nice! Quote
Athos Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I'm not sure about the scale of the blender. The console is so big compared to the container... Steve Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I love the blender. If for some reason LEGO ever needs a blender in a set I think they will steal that. The roof on the yellow building doesn't quite look right to me. I don't know why. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted September 4, 2009 Author Posted September 4, 2009 Thanks, everyone! I'm glad you all like the blender so much! Athos, I had a little trouble with that, too, but I couldn't find any way to make the console smaller, and I wanted the blender to have a handle. TheBrickster, I'm glad you like the Colonel's popcorn. Most people in my town have wordplay-related names (such as the disc jockey D.J. Redo, store owner Lois Price, Mayor Maynought, etc.), and I couldn't bear to have my Wild West characters sitting in my minifig box (thus, you can also see Mose Yover, the old cowboy, sitting on the bench) Quote
prateek Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Nice accesories, and the fountain makes the town hall complete Quote
tedbeard Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I love details and that blender is fantastic. Nice design on the popcorn wagon as well. Quote
Tyleraf Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Great blender. I am going to whip one up for my lego home. Quote
JCC1004 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 (edited) I really love that blender. The panel is a bit large. I could make this but I don't have the mug. I see the Colonel has a pop-it-corn stand. (When I first saw the Orville Redenbacher's commerical I thought he said " My gourmet pop-it-corn." So that's what I call it now.) The town hall is owned by the Black Falcons I presume? I really love the mime and you gave me a good torso idea but I like this mime like face better. Edited September 5, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote
ILikePi Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 That blender is simple, but great; just like Hinckley's! Nice work on it (although I bet that it didn't take much thinking to come up with )! Quote
BillytheKid Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 That blender is very clever using of less bricks. Love it. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 That blender is simple, but great; just like Hinckley's! Nice work on it (although I bet that it didn't take much thinking to come up with )! Oh, on the contrary! Minimalism isn't as easy as it would seem. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Good job on those MOCs. I may have to borrow your popcorn stand! Quote
