Etzel Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 15½ The perfectionist in me needs to point out that the barmaid had the standard woman head (like the princesses and peasant woman) in her first appearance (10193 MMV). In the Kingdoms calender however she has the head you choose. Quote

In the Kingdoms calender however she has the head you choose. A fact that I'm well aware of, since I have both versions. I almost wrote it to my last post, but didn't think anyone cared. I was evidently wrong. I chose the newer version of the fig for variety's sake, since many of the figs use the same "generic female" head. Thanks for being so keen-eyed, though! Quote
sok117 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I think I've got three depending on whether or not this counts as a dress Quote
Sandy Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 I think I've got three depending on whether or not this counts as a dress It's a dress, of course, but my collection is all about the special printed dresses. Quote
smittyfan Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 only one... although i'm not sure it entirely counts cuz it's attached as a keychain... it's the newest princess keychain... saw it at the Lego store in the mall, and had to get it!! although now, if you were talking Lego Belville princess dresses, then i got a bunch of those!! i just LOVE 'em!! they're cool!!! :D although not to sound mean, but when i consider princess dresses i've kinda thought the solid brick type kinda dorky... i mean, they can just only stand there and look cute... they can't ride horses or sit down, or do much with a large plastic brick for 'feet' actually in the Star Wars series they made a figure with a black fabric skirt... there's no way the evil Sith Lord'ette' could fly a ship or be an effective Jedi enemy with a solid brick for a skirt... i applaude LEGO for realizing that, and hope they do more for some of the other figures as well... chump Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 About time for a bump of this old thread, with new mermaids, PotC Elizabeth Swann and farmer's daughter in the Mill Village Raid and probably some others I'm forgetting. Been trying to get them all, but that Professor Trelawney probably isn't going to happen. Quote
badboytje88 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Nice collection. All you need now is Pomfrey. Quote
chump Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 (edited) Does the Series 4 geisha count? Yes, as will Series 5 Cleopatra. And Narcissa Malfoy. Edited June 21, 2011 by chump Quote
Sandy Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 Thanks for the bump, guys. It's true that there are more new printed dresses around, and I've not given up collecting them all. 2011 has brought us the following printed dresses to add to the list: 19) Geisha's red dress from Collectable Minifigures Series 4 (I own.) 20) Elizabeth Swann's dark red dress from PotC set 4181 Isla de la Muerta. (I own.) 21) Narcissa Malfoy's black dress from HP set 4865 Forbidden Forest. 22) Professor Sprout's dark tan dress from HP set 4867 Hogwarts. 23) Peasant woman's light blue dress from Kingdoms set 7189 Mill Village Raid. 24) Egpytian queen's white dress from Collectable Minifigures Series 5. The two mermaids from PotC set 4194 Whitecap Bay could loosely be counted in this category as well. I'll post new photos when I have collected the whole bunch. Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Since this has been bumped back up, I have: 1. The Geisha (Collectable Minifigures) 2. The Witch (The Wicked one from the West )(Collectable Minifigures) 3. Bellatrix Lestrange (Harry Potter) 4. Narcissa Malfoy (Harry Potter) 5. New Minerva McGonagall (Harry Potter) 6. Pompona Sprout (Harry Potter, Coming soon... when I buy 4867 Hogwarts) 7. Syrena (PotC) 8. Tamara/Mermaid (PotC) 9. Elizabeth Swann (PotC) Quote
Gregorovich Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I am so jealous ! I want every one of those dresses, yet I only have four of them (CM Witch, Fantasy Era princess, Original red/black Witch, CM Giesha). Maybe someday I'll manage to collect them all. Thank you for sharing those images with us of all the dresses together. By the way, I love the figure in your avatar, very nice combination! Quote
Haltiamieli Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Nice collection, Sandy! At the moment I have eleven of those 18 in the latter picture (though iirc I don't have Willa's torso). Of those that I don't have yet, I'm still certainly going to buy the Fantasy Era princess and queen someday. Professor Trelawney has a wonderful and unique print that would fit quite well to my medieval setting, but the fig is so darn expensive in BL that I doubt I'll ever be getting it. I think Queen Leonora's torso design is hideous, so I don't know about that - could the dress piece (which on the contrary is quite nice) align well with any other torso? Quote
Gabe Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Beautiful collection Sandy! I would not have thought to group all the dresses together in a photo, but they just look supurb en masse. Sadly i only have 5 at the moment (Bellatrix, the 2 from the MMV, the series 4 CM kimono woman and the red princess from the dragon knight's tower), but i hope to get some more soon. On an aside, the fact that lego women in dresses are slightly taller than thier menfolk looks entirely natural to me, but then i am only 5'4". Quote
Hoboman Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I like using the old pants as skirts like with my dominatrix minifig. SirNadroj did it for one of his contest entries and I thought it was a fantastic idea so I bought a bunch of those for skirts. This is a great idea. I like it a lot. Thansk for showing it. Quote
Sandy Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 I currently own all 24 printed dresses released to date, as well as all four merpeople with printed fishtails. Year 2012 will add at least Queen Amidala from Star Wars as well as the Statue of Liberty and the Flamenco Dancer in the Collectable Minifigures Series 6 to this group, but hopefully many others as well. All 24 printed dresses and four merpeople together. SORTED BY THEME: 7 of the printed dresses and the merman are from the Harry Potter -theme. The Castle-theme has brought us 11 different printed dresses. 2 printed dresses and a mermaid come from the Pirates-theme. One printed dress and two mermaids are from the Pirates of the Caribbean -theme. The Collectable Minifigures Series 2, 4 and 5 have given us a total of 3 printed dresses. SORTED BY OTHER WAYS: The Black Sister: Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy. Three female teachers of Hogwarts: Pomona Sprout, Minerva McGonagall and Sybill Trelawney. Comparison between the yellow and fleshie Minerva McGonagall. The four merpeople. The mothers and daughters from two royal families. Three wicked witches. Three peasant women. How many have you got by now? Quote
badboytje88 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I was waiting for an update. I 've been collecting three babies myself. I love them! Quote
Etzel Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 The number of printed dresses has really exploded the latest years. Good job collecting them all Sandy! I currently own 19 of them, and have 2 on the way (The new peasant woman and the Cleopatra minifig from S5). The only ones left then are Narcissa, Pr. Sprout and Pr. Trelawney. I will probably pick up Narcissa since she is quite cheap ( ) and has a very useful dress, but I'm not sure about Sprout. And as Haltiamieli poited out, Trelawney is unfortunately out of the question because of the price. Quote
Sandy Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 I will probably pick up Narcissa since she is quite cheap ( ) and has a very useful dress, but I'm not sure about Sprout. But Sprout has that unique dark tan wizard's hat! Any minifig parts collector should definitely get her. Quote

badboytje88 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) Uhum Uhum I have every single one of those figures and some double even the Trelawney Fig. I just checked Trelawney on bricklink but the prices they ask for that one fig are just absurd! Edited September 14, 2011 by badboytje88 Quote
K-Nut Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Very nice collection! I got 15 of them. I need the Fantasy-era Princess! But I didn't know I had that many in the first place. A very beautiful collection. And badboy, can I have one? If you think those prices are high you haven't seen the prices for the Joker minifig. $60 USD! Quote
Haltiamieli Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Admittedly it's a misprint and only the slope piece and not the whole dress, but shouldn't you also acknowledge the existence of red trimmed variant of Governor's Daughter's dress? Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Awesome! I have been waiting for your updates and seeing all of the newer printed female skirt/long dress torsos, are simply amazingly beautiful. Thankfully, I had all of those recent new ones unlike the older HP ones that are so hard to get. Thank you for taking your time to add this in. Quote

You're right, I should get my hands on that as well. Quote
