NewRight Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 See more on flickr. The fast moving underwater speeder for the crew of MISSION: ATLANTIS. Nicknamed 'Tail Fin' with top speeds near 70 MPH is can help with fast travel for the crew of the mission. Containing about the same number of pieces as a fair priced $10 set. I don't know if it shows, but I don't actually own any Atlantis sets, but I thought the entire idea was need so I went for it. I do also have plans to do maybe another of these red vehicles. Maybe by then I'll have an actual Atlantis set. Quote
CMP Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Nice MOC dude! This could easily be an official set, it is great! I like how it looks a bit like some kind of sea serpent. I would like to see more MOCs like these from you. Quote
phillip10 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Thats a good moc awesome use of the new power miners visor! Quote
NewRight Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 Thanks for the kind words. I also reworked the first shot with a modified logo from the Atlantis set boxes. Quote
RocketClone Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Nice Atlantis moc! But one question...what set did you get that head from? Quote
Alldarker Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 (edited) Nice Atlantis moc! But one question...what set did you get that head from? It's Mad-Eye Moody from Harry Potter set 4767 (Harry and the Hungarian Horntail) Edited November 26, 2009 by Alldarker Quote
Legostein Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Hello! That's really a sleek design! I like the use of the large clicky hinge plate with angled sided. One thing that might be added is a bright and shiny headlight. I am missing that here, and it is essential for travelling under water. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Optimus Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Nice job on this, It fits nicely with what I've seen of the Atlantis sets. I really like the use of that head. The set itself could use some more trans-lime green though. Quote

Cheers, ~ Christopher If you look at the two large trans-orange cheese slopes near the driver area are suppose to be headlights. If you look at some of the smaller sets you'll notice there is not lime green. I will admit that the minifig needs some lime green though. Quote
Batbrick Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Very neat NewRight! I love the elongated look of it and how it diverges from the designs of the actual sets into something quite unique. Batbrick Away! Quote
