Zarkan Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 A few days ago I bought the 2009 Bionicle canister set Tarix, which I feel is a lot better than some of the reviews I've read have made it out to be. I believe that pretty much wraps up my first wave purchases this year - now it's onto the summer wave! Quote
Hound Knight Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Yesterday I bought the old Gov. Broadside and 7 Bluecoat soldiers from Bricklink. Quote
Batbrick Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 My sister brought back a Squidman Escape set from Sydney, which made me very happy since there are no Space Police sets here. I also bought the Hoth Defence set today, mainly for the awesome figs and Tauntaun. I wasn't disappointed, though the price is too much and box too big. To the Brickmobile! Quote
ILikePi Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I also got a Squidman Escape set today at a local Target, and I have to say, Squidman looks much cooler in person than in pictures. The sets is great, too, except for the fact that there are stickers. They're all transparent (except for the black "police" stickers), and unfortunately I got a piece of lint stuck in one of the stickers. That's one reason why I hate transparent stickers. Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I got Space Truck Getaway two days ago, when I was down in Las Vegas. Awesome set, though rather bland on the bottom. But who's going to be looking there, huh? Quote
-JD- Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 All the little aliens below it while it flies? Just got Ahsoka's JSF. I'm going to build it right now! Quote
xNick Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Somehow (I still can't believe my luck) I found a MISB 7888 Batman Joker's Ice Cream Surprise from my local Big W for AU$78 Absolutely stoked. Box is a little bit dented along one edge but I can live with that Quote
astra Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Yesterda I received my MISB 10190. Very happy with that! Next stop: Green Grocer. Probably next month Quote
Hewman Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Two echo bases, at 20% off at Target in Australia. I'm very happy with the purchase as they were flying off the shelves. Quote

Glacarcheo Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I had a huge 13th birthday yesterday! I got the Lamborghini, Skopio XV-1, Fallingwater, Makuta Icarax, Troll Battle Wheel, Boulder Blaster, Crystal Sweeper, Berix, Zesk, Claw Digger, Thunder Driller, Fero and Skirmix, Vastus, Kiina, Gelu, Stronius and.... the Taj Mahal! So yeah, it was an okay birthday. Quote

prateek Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Once I graduate from the Academy, yes! I'll be waiting. BTW what are those pieces that make those 3 spikes at the front? Quote
ILikePi Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 (edited) I'll be waiting. BTW what are those pieces that make those 3 spikes at the front? BrickLink is your friend. It's a new piece, by the way. I had a huge 13th birthday yesterday! All I got for my 13th birthday was General Grievous (on sale for $30 USD), two Public Works impulse sets (on sale for $1), and the LEGO Star Wars 10th Anniversary Poster (free). You're so spoiled. Seriously, though, you got $843 USD worth of stuff (not including tax). That's how much I would probably spend on LEGO for 3 years. Edited August 1, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
madoka Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Today I bought around 1,000 battle packs (stormtroopers and rebels). Took me over 7 hours to purchase, pack and unpack two car loads. My back still aches. Quote
