You're right, of course - it's the slow progression and development that makes the song so darn good.

Owing to the Floyd's deliciously strong copyright, however, the full version is sadly impossible to find on Youtube.

I'm also a fan of their more instrumental, drawn-out works, such as the song you posted.

Lately, I've been listening to some of Bowie's late-seventies albums again.

They're rather good.

I've been listening to a lot of Michael Bublé -- his Christmas album in particular. I'm a holidays person!
