6ix Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I watched "Bobby" last night. Good movie, nice ensamble cast, sad story. Quote
Iria Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 'The Martian'. Overall I liked it, but I'm not sure I'd want to watch it again (Way too much disco music). I think reading the book might be worthwhile. Quote
BrickTamland Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Mad Max: Fury Road, I rate it Chrome/10. Pretty slick movie for being set in such a despair filled post-apocalyptic world, not much in the way of a super smart or sophisticated story, but at the same time far from a lot of the "brainless action flicks" that tend to dominate the summer months. I appreciated George Miller's restraint actually in a lot of areas, paying star money to Tom Hardy but not having Max's perspective dominate the proceedings was a nice change of pace. Big enough to excite audiences with masterfully done practical effects, while being just off enough to unsettle and leave an impression. One of my favorites so far this year. Quote
Vindicare Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) 'The Martian'. Overall I liked it, but I'm not sure I'd want to watch it again (Way too much disco music). I think reading the book might be worthwhile. Saw this yesterday & is basically my take on it as well. It was good, a bit boring at times(dozed off a few times...). On a positive note, Sean Bean's character did NOT die! Yay! Edited October 8, 2015 by Legocrazy81 Quote
adotnamedstud Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 The Martian. The best movie of 2015 so far. My 2nd favorite movie ever. It was very intriguing and compelling. I really loved the cast and characters of the movie. Very top notch film. Quote
r5-j2 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Dredd (for the umpteenth time); I love this film; "He IS the law!!" Quote
Ultron Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 The Martian. It was pretty good, I would recommend it. Quote
6ix Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 The Walk Amazing how the towers are brought to live again. Brought back many memories of me standing on top of 2. I also very much liked the narrative style of the movie. Quote
KlodsBrik Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Oh boy, not gonna mention the last movie i saw. But im gonna mention the last i saw that was worth it. ABOUT TIME ! Thought it was a sci-fi thingy about timetravel Kapowww time. Turned out to be a lot deeper and totally worth watching. At the age of 18 the youngest boy of the family learns a family secret amongst the men. If you go into a dark place, squeeze your hands, close your eyes and think of a place in time you wanna go, you will get there. Now what do you want in life ? This dude only wants to find his true love. Might sound boring, but its one of the best movies ive watched the last 5 years ( And ive watched a lot ) .... Truely a masterpiece imo. Quote
Tariq j Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Just saw SPECTRE, I thought it was truly excellent. Christopher Waltz was excellent as the villain in this film. The car chase was fast paced and well filmed. Overall, an excellent film worth seeing. Quote

Bornin1980something Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 The Martian An excellent addition to the recent line of what I call 'spacesuit movies', without the Hollywood quick fix or the overdone bleakness of much 'hard sf.' Benny would have loved it, particularly a scene with a very Lego style open sided spaceship. The best movie I've seen in theaters this year, after the disappointment of Jurassic World. Quote
YellowCorvette Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Just watch Frozen for the first time. The soundtrack is good but the others......not so much. Quote
npgcole Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 The Peanuts Movie. I really enjoyed it, If you're a fan of the strip and/or TV specials, I strongly recommend it. Quote
Ceroknight Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 The Peanuts Movie. I really enjoyed it, If you're a fan of the strip and/or TV specials, I strongly recommend it. I watched it also, and as a person who grew up with the comics, I loved it. This was my friends' first introductions to the Peanuts though and they loved it as well! Spectre on the other hand. It was good, no doubt about that: classic spy movie, BEAUTIFUL cars and it tied up the first three movies nicely but my ranking of the Craig Bond movies are Casino, Skyfull, Spectre and then Quantum. N-4K0 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Fast & Furious 7. Started watching it 1,5 week ago, but got to watch the last half hour on Saturday. Quote
6ix Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain That is a fantastic film! Have you also seen Un long dimanche de fiançailles ? Quote
Iria Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Spectre. Unfortunately I have a terrible memory when it comes to Bond films, so I couldn't remember the significance of some of the characters . Still, it was enjoyable flick. Quote
Vindicare Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Spectre as well. I really enjoyed Bautistas performance quite a bit. His silence added something menacing to him. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I've watched all sorts of movies these past few weeks, including - Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials - read the book, obviously not enough because I didn't remember half the movie happening. Movie was still good anyway. Goosebumps - I used to read the books, very nice movie! Spectre - I'm not a giant fan of James Bond but I've seen a handful of the other movies and this was good. The Peanuts Movie - I loved it! The Gift - Super suspenseful, and that twist... wow. So, that's what I saw recently! Quote
BrickTamland Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Spectre - Wasn't expecting much, but still kind of a disappointment exacerbated by a really strong roster of spy movies previously released this year. Still solid action and the exceptional talent involved make it very worthy of a watch. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 The Peanuts Movie, which I highly recommend. Quote
