Morgan19 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Although it's a decent set out of the box, I couldn't help but feel like LEGO's 8059 - Seadbed Scavenger set was a little too anemic once built. Granted, it's a $15 set, but still. (I also knew right off the bat that I wanted it to have four wheels instead of the odd three.) Starting with the base of the main set, I revised and updated it using a limited selection of parts-- mostly from other Atlantis sets (and a few other odds'n'ends). lightningtiger Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Great vehicle 'Morgan19' - four wheels are better than three ! Very nice MOD's - I'm a conformist! ! Quote
prateek Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Yay! Finally my 4-wheeled dreams have become a reality I always thought that the official set had 4 wheels until I saw the review. I was really disappointed too. At least now there is this MOC to marvel at. I'd rather buy this for $25 than buy the set for $15 Quote
squidman85 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Great MOD,but i think it needs lime oxygen cylinders, pole and some dark gray. Quote
Morgan19 Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 I'm not a big fan of lime, most of the dark grey is focused on the underside (not on top), and I'm not sure what "it needs pole" means. m19 Quote
squidman85 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 and I'm not sure what "it needs pole" means. I'm about dark greay thing with antenna and trans green and red studs. Quote
Morgan19 Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 Ah, you mean the antenna array. That was a personal choice to specifically remove it– I'm not terribly fond of it on the official models, so wasn't going to keep it on this one. m19 Quote
Vexxion Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 That's nice. I love it. I wish TLG would have made theirs like that. Quote
Delta 38 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 The back is a big improvement. It looks more powerful, where the Seabed Scavenger was more like a light scout vehicle. Four wheels work quite well. Quote
