Hi, Windows Movie Maker is recently crapping up on my computer, so I figured I need another software. Does anyone know a software like movie maker that can edit pictures, add sound, all that crap except more designed for stop motion, ect. etc.?

Peace!

Well I have magix movie edit pro 14! it cost about 89.00 bucks and has a lot of options way more then windows! in all my movies I can add soundtracks add multiple sfx at the same time. Its a pretty good program it takes a little bit to get use to, and I think if you go to there website you can get a trial version to see if you like it, before you buy it..

Best option is to use a combination of programs rather than an "all in one" program. A few I would recommend are:

Filming:

Stop Motion Pro

AnimatorDV

Anasazi Stop Motion Animator

Sound:

Audacity

Sony Acid Music Studio

NCH Wavepad

Editing:

Adobe Premiere

Sony Vegas Movie Studio

Image Editing:

Adobe Photoshop

GIMP

Paint Dot Net

Some of these are either free or have free trials available for download. Just a quick Google search away.

Oh, you mean you don't know what you want. no I'm kidding, but listen to the brainéd man. at the very least stop motion pro is a necessity. make smooth animation with that (in scenes or shots), then drop those into any video editor at all.
